Shoes really are important. Not just the shoes themselves, but also upkeep.

It wasnt until I started upgrading my shoes did people start complimenting the hell out of me. I may not look at shoes, but others surely do.

I dunno if I didnt either, tbh. A great outfit with bad shoes is infinitely worse than an okay outfit with good shoes.

Especially for guys since our clothes arent that dynamic most times.

I really want a kid. I had lunch with a friend of mine, and she had her kid with her.

alright fellas here's how it works

it's all about what i call social attractiveness, basically you have to appear as a real/relateable person to the girl and make a little narrative for yourself. being really attractive is only going to get you so far online, suprisingly.

havent used tinder in a while but assuming you still get 5 pics, heres what you do:

#1 - good picture of you
#2 - pic of you & friends
#3 - pic of you drinking alcohol or being in a situation where alcohol is served (bar/party/etc)
#4 - pic of you either doing something travel-related or athletic
#5 - wildcard pic, here you can do a pic with a pet or something that's funny or w/e

now here is what you don't do:

- shirtless pics, even if you're ripped there are a million other guys out there who are more ripped and its not even impressive after a while

- pics of you and a girl, ppl will think it's your girlfriend or ex gf

- pics of you doing esoteric nerdy shit, you might really love painting Warhammer figurines but save that shit for after the girl has decided to sleep with you

- selfies. dont use em unless there is some reason to be taking the selfie (i.e. selfie with a pet, in an interesting location, etc). dont just do a selfie of you in your bedroom

- group pics as a first pic, people will immediately assume you are the least attractive person in the entire group

so now you have this little narrative of yourself as a well put-together guy who has friends & is social, goes drinking, is into traveling and physical activities, and then they even get a little glimpse into your personality (but not too much, because this is a sales pitch). in terms of bio, less is more. maybe put in one sentence of something witty, your college or w/e if you go there. get rid of that link ASAP, nobodys clicking on that shit.

from there it's just a numbers game, swipe on all girls that look interesting or attractive and eventually you'll get a bite. once you get a match just say whatever you want, try and be funny and have a good first few lines. if you don't beg for nudes or send pics of your boner you are already ahead of a solid 50% of the matches the girl has. the goal with tinder is to get the girl off tinder so try & get her digits and set up a date.

Pretty solid advice, tbh.

I dont know? Like, theres something about these songs that dont jibe, but they have a similar feeling. Its that feeling when I listen to a Beetles song. Its like, I know this song probably came out before 2000.

I know thats vague and really ignorant, but I dont know a better way to explain it. Again, I grew up conditioned to assume anything not rap was for white people. So its like, I dont know what adjectives to use when describing what I like.

What music do you listen to was my most hated question for this reason. I dont know. If I hear a song, and I like it, I try to write it down so I can get it. But I dont know enough about music (specifically rock) to know what to look for. Im gonna go through some of the links posted to try some of these.

I dont want yall to think Im just shooting stuff down. I genuinely appreciate the suggestions.

What other types of music do you tend to like? There is probably a subgenre that mixes it. Like I said, I like folk music, and there are bands that mix folk with metal.

I really dont know... I honestly am a song by song kind of person. Its why I could never claim to like a specific album or person. I just know I dont like screaming, nor that 70s or 80s style of music, tbh. Which might also be my issue. It just gives a certain vibe I dont mesh with.

I will say when it comes to genres, I typically like high energy versions. I wish I was more musically intelligent, because Im sure theres instruments Im more fond of. I just dont know them.

Eh... a bit of both? Like, I typically like faster pace songs. But I also prefer more emotional range to what I listen to, maybe?

I listened to Number of the Beast, Wasted Years (I actually didnt mind this one), Run to the Hills, Powerslave for Iron Maiden.

Peace sells, Tornado of Souls, Rust in peace for Megadeth.

Paranoid, Iron Man, and Heaven and Hell for Black Sabbath.

Of the three, I definitely like Iron Maiden the most, but the songs seems... hollow? Like theres something less lively?

I know theres negative perceptions of them, but Linkin Park and Fallout Boys are really the only exposure I have to rock at all; I like them mostly... then theres specific songs I like like Anthem of the Lonely by 9 lashes or Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin. But I only find these via Youtube recommendations, so I dunno if thats just basically radio music or not.

I mean, slow stuff I can like. Evanescence is rock, right? I like her.

I tried listening to a few samples of Megadeth, Black Sabbath, and of Iron Maiden, and they seem to lack... energy? I dunno the right word? Like, I cant see myself getting into the songs at all. Obviously I only listened to a few, and not the full songs, but... it seems like its people talking slightly louder than normal?

Deftone seems pretty good so far... I like this one. Its great I have a good starting point. Im gonna try to research all these guys to see what I like though. So far Ive not ran into anyone like Meshuggah, which is comforting.

Tbh, I barely know about metal and whats what.

My family grew up calling anything with a guitar in it white people music, and would shut it down. So Im extremely ignorant.

Im kinda a rock newbie too. I cant really tell whatis defined as rock vs metal besides if someone is screaming or not. At least I thought. I didnt know there was such variation.

To be fair to my friend, she did ask repeatedly what I liked to listen to, and I was adamant I listened to anything. Guess I was wrong.

Will definitely try these out.

Something called Meshuggah. I shoulda got the hint when one of their songs is named Bleed, but still.

I have to change way too much to gain weight. I have to eat when Im not even hungry, and buy more food than usual because of it. Its embarassing lifting baby weights at the gym.

Fat people just have to change what they eat instead of frequency often times. And no one judges people doing cardio nearly as much as baby lifters. Thus, their budget is still intact.

Not to mention there is no bad weight loss. But gaining weight could just mean gaining fat. Which isnt what you want.

As far as gender goes, skinny guys are in the same category as fat women often times. Your personality has got to carry you.
