Im hoping the star rating system can finally be laid to rest! Professional wrestling is performance art and with art it is subjective. To all the men and women taking to risk to entertain you are all 5 stars in my opinion!!!!

Maybe the dumbest take to come out of today

Art is subjective so we shouldnt give our subjective ratings

No Dave, Spike canceled because they got tired of Dixie Carters shit. Shes the one who ruined TNA for all of us. They may have not been crazy about Russo, but Dixie is to blame.

Never heard someone from TNA get that nasty about Dixie

Practically everyone in Western society cares too much about what other people think of them, and that affects how they manage their appearance.

It shouldnt be that way

I can see how if you dont enjoy the Z-targeting system that you would hate how Ocarina plays

Not sure what else you might mean by gameplay holding you back from wanting to explore. Did Links movement feel off to you?

EDIT: And yeah the combat is what, in theory, elevates OoT above those others in a historical sense

It was just an example about how appreciating something being groundbreaking and ambitious for the time doesnt necessary mean (or preclude) that your love of it is just nostalgia.

I think the entry that most benefits from nostslgia, and Im guilty of this as well, is Links Awakening.

I havent played the GB Zeldas in so long, but I reflexively rank it higher than the Oracles and I dont really know why.

If you want the game I think is probably the one that benefits from nostalgia the most it has to be Ocarina of Time

I get what youre saying, but I think theres a difference between pure nostalgia and acknowledging a groundbreaking game.

Take Super Mario Bros for example. Not many would say, today, that its the best Mario game, but on a level as compared against its contemporaries it is magical even beyond nostalgia. It redefined a genre, and that definition holds to this day.

I heard a quote recently that stuck with me: Asking what is the best video game ever made is always going to lead to a very subjective response, but on the release day of Super Mario Bros. on September 13, 1985, it was as close to objective as it ever got.

Same with OoT for establishing the language of the 3D adventure. Its framework, built from scratch, is still the standard today. At the time there was NOTHING like it.

2. 50 lbs of what? What if most of it is muscle and it in fact improves her in ring performance?

This is a stupid technicality argument you're trying to make to no relevant end because obviously no one is going to be body shamed for becoming a mountain of muscle

Are you sure about that? You don't think a woman would be?

I think they potentially would be. I also don't think its realistically possible for a women of WWE frame to put on 50lbs of muscle though.

Closest example would be...Kaitlyn?

Is it body shaming to say that elite Basketball players are by and large tall for a reason? Wrestling is just a less obviously seen version of how height can help you succeed.

This has gotten so far upfield into the realm of the absurd thought experiments

At the core of it all, the way the original quote from Dave was INTERPRETED (Peyton Royce needs to lose weight to be attractive enough to stand out in WWE) would in fact be unacceptable body shaming if that was what the comment was intended to say.

Agreed?

Not necessarily. When you're heavier your balance is inherently not as good than it would be when you're light, which definitely factors into how well you can drop or throw people.

This is not true to any kind of noticeable degree unless you're absolutely comically obese

You're only going to have noticeable balance issues if you rapidly lose or gain weight

Eh. When you're doing something as hyper-athletic as pro wrestling, it probably doesn't take too many excess pounds to make a difference in ability.
