Also, be aware that if you write your character as any kind of "chosen one" the DM will have all kinds of fun with that.

For example, in one of our campaigns we have a Goliath that claims he is "The Legend". Over the course of the campaign we have already come across 3 similar looking Goliaths, listening to the same given name and calling themselves "the Legend". Not to mention, upto a certain point their memories are identical.

Yeah you might want to tone it down a bit. When I was writing my 40k characters long backstory I realized I was making her too cool but she wasnt even a soldier yet. So I had to go back and level down the shit she was doing. The only thing I hope materializes is a magazine fed double barrel shotgun I made up. I still laugh about that
