It's almost a completely no-frills remake apart from HD scale-up and the option to control via joycon.

Ended with 88% of the collection and no failures (unless you count small bears or small cows a failure). I might go for the full monty this time around. At least it'll be easier to find small things with a higher resolution.

Actually, this one's pretty easy.

The conservative view in its simplest form is "me and mine". As long as "I'm" taken care of, the wider world can go hang. Now, each conservative has a different definition of what "me and mine" is. Sometimes it's just their household. Sometimes it's their neighborhood or their circle of peers. Sometimes it's the city, county, state, country.

In the case of the scenario you're providing, when a conservative says these two things, the police they're saying to respect are their local law enforcement. The cops of their own town or city. These are people they might know, or at least respect if they make an effort to keep "the local thugs" down.

The "government" is, in their mind, part of the "rest of the world", outside their own sphere of caring, and is a vague malevolent force that seeks to tax them dry, let in undesirables, and force them to get gay married or whatever the hot button issue is at the moment.

It is, of course, entirely hypocritical, but this is where it comes from.

That's the Japanese name of the game. The working English title was "Project Judge".

You got:

An absolutely horrible, slow-running fighting game, where the aim of the game, and the way to reduce opponent's health is to literally take pictures of their panties as they flop about on recoil from attacks. They get three matches in a half hour. THREE.

But the actual meat of the video is the guys first lamenting the fact that they're not playing Smash, trying to justify playing Smash, questioning their entire business model, realizing that other channels they've propped up have surpassed them in subscriber count because they do garbage like this. Then finally acceptance as they start enjoying the hell that is their lives playing the game.

It's such a candid look into their lives. I love it.

I think I'm sitting on about forty characters but honestly haven't booted it up yet today.

Like, did they ask people in a social circle "Who are your friends" one-on-one away from others and then count only those instances where two people named each other?

I imagine if they just took ten people together and asked them, then the number would be higher than 50% just because of peer pressure.

I'd ask what types he prefers. The type of games one plays can be a bit indicative of one's work ethic.

Also I'd keep a little bit of an eye on him at work initially to make sure he wasn't being distracted by gaming during working hours.

Well everyone prefers that a crime didn't happen. It's only natural.

Humanity as a whole has a tendency to prefer to forget that bad things are done by other humans like them, because it's easier than staring into one's own darkness.

I've said it before, but a lot of people knock the concept of "rape culture" as "a society that promotes rape", and that's not what I believe it is. Rape culture in my mind is a society that hates rape so much that they'd rather believe it doesn't happen than acknowledge it, because that would be admitting that such horrible things could be done by our own fellow otherwise upstanding humans, which leads to bad policy decisions and bad case decisions.

My intent was to wake up at 4AM this morning to start unlocking characters. There's an office holiday party today and I wanted to play Smash at it and have a decent selection of characters going in rather than the initial 8.

I went to bed at 8:30 last night and woke up bolt awake at midnight, without even trying. I tried to go back to sleep but then I realized I couldn't and said fuck it. Got up, turned the game on. Explored the menus a bit.

Then got a crash three times while looking through the menus.

Uninstalled and re-downloaded it. That took 90 minutes so I basically laid in my bed stressing that the problem was the memory card and not the quality of the download.

Around 2:30 AM I booted the game up and started unlocking. Between then and 5 AM I got about twenty characters unlocked. Should hold us over, I think.
