I understand the reasons for WW2. It was largely because of bitterness, feelings of resentment and oppression, etc.

Also, you made reference to the "contempt" the German people had for the rest of the world, in the 1930s. You don't think we had contempt for them in the last 1940s? They had waged war on a bunch of countries, killing many people in warfare, and killed millions of Jews and other people they deemed "undesirable" in concentration camps - and worst of all, at the Nuremberg Trials, most of them were unrepentant!

It's amazing that a country could exist like that, in the 20th century. And there's still a German arrogance in this topic...like they're better than the rest of us. That hasn't gone away too much, at least, judging from what someone said a while ago.

But wtf @ your vague memories of Goldeneye. I thought all millennials knew the Brosnan films pretty well. You seen very fuzzy on it. I know all 4 films really well, and most of them I've seen at least 10 times. Sadly, I only saw TMD and TWINE at the cinema.

I sometimes think about all the repressive / coercive systems spread over German history, and how awfully they're treated people; but I also think about how there were people who were willing to stand up to them, against groups like the Nazis, and the Stazi.

Why couldn't Germany just act normally, and let people vote for leaders, and live their lives in peace?

nah relics didn't appear until the third game on the ps1 versions. they were also pretty kid friendly, 100+%'d all three in my childhood without much issue, and I sucked at video games

Eh 1 was a pretty decent challenge. I went through 20 something lives on that slippery climb level before finally beating it.

But 2 and 3 weren't that tough at all, platinum relics in 3 aside.

I thought some of the later levels in 2 were really tough. I thought 3's road levels were very hard (read: disproportionately hard), but generally the other levels weren't that hard. The road levels did slow me down a lot, though, which was stupid and annoying.

Yeah, I've spent a lot of time working at the relics in the 3rd game, and I've got lots of blues and golds, but not many platinums.

But that's how time attack should be. The highest medal or whatever should be extremely hard. I mean, only top tier gamers would be likely to get them all.

What was it? All levels, all bosses, all grey gems, all coloured games, and blue and gold relics? Even if that was the case, it would still be very hard. Even playing through the game was challenging to me, and I've got over 25 years of experience as a platform game player.

I've seen them all at least once, and I might buy some in the near future, but obviously I'm looking for really good films, and they should be as rewatchable as possible (it's not unusual for me to watch a great film 10 or 20 times).

You're talking about the N.Sane Trilogy of Crash 2? It's actually not that hard to get 100% on it, because for one thing, you don't have to collect all of the relics. Collecting all of the relics in the first two games is actually more challenging than collection all the ones in 3.

Yeah, but I doubt a proper Crash fan would say it's okay to skip some relics. They would say fuck whatever the game says.

I did the last few levels, and then did the surprisingly easy final boss. Took me 2 attempts for the boss, I think.

I'm only at about 60% or something overall completion, though. I've gotten quite a few grey crystals, and some of the coloured crystals, as well as some blue and gold relics, but there's plenty I haven't done.

Have you ever 100%ed this? How hard did you find it, on a scale of 1 - 10? I think this game would probably be extremely hard to do everything, maybe a 9 out of 10.

CE is full of fanatics. These people are pathological. You have to remember, they come up with these "ideas", but because most of them don't have good social lives, they never express them to anyone who might really challenge them. When people fight back on a message board, you don't exactly have to listen.

...a 24 hours police station. Then, a few years ago, it changed to shutting every night. I don't know the exact hours it kept, but it probably opened about 8am, then closed in early evening, maybe 6pm. Then, this year, it shut down completely. Great.

I suppose we still have another police station, somewhere else in the town, but this is still kinda bad. Gives you the impression that the police don't give a fuck. I mean, I live in a town with over 50,000 people in it, and this kind of stuff is pretty bad.

Wow, this Autumn has been great for games! Proving Grounds, GH3, Eternal Sonata as well! So many fun games to play. The XBox 360 is really going places.

I got the gold relic on all stages and dont remember any issues. Crash 1 had some dodgy fucks, though.

You didn't think the games were hard?

You know, I've got maybe 10 blue relics on the second game, but only 1 gold. The platinums are a pipe dream, of course.

Do you get some kind of extra power when you beat the main game or something? Like, the ability to run faster? Because you get that in the third game.

I just spent maybe 40 minutes on one level, one of the snowy levels from roughly the middle of the game. I didn't even manage to finish it, much less get a good time. Wtf. Usually, the lowest thing you can get in a time attack mode, e.g. a bronze medal, only takes one or two attempts. The silver and gold are meant to be the really hard ones. Getting a shaphire relic, which is equivalent to a bronze medal, is very hard in this level.

I still haven't actually finished the game. I have maybe 3 more levels to do. I've gone through them, but can't find the purple crystals.

This whole trilogy caught me offguard. I knew it was a 1990s series, so I expected it to be hard, but not anywhere like this. All 3 games are extremely hard. Probably 9/10 or 10/10 for difficult, to do everything.
