Do you know what fascinates me? The fact that one person (possibly) with just a drone or two, which probably cost less than 1,000, has disrupted the operations of a major Western airport, and the lives of over 100,000 people. I mean...how is that even possible? It would've been really hard to have done this 20 years ago.

Sadly I only own 1. I've seen quite a few, but only own 1, i.e. Twins of Evil. It's one of their best, though (that I've seen), so it's okay.

I've never gotten any kind of Christmas bonus, ever.

I love all the people that think people in high-paying, prestigious jobs, should also get a Christmas bonus. And a mid-year bonus. The people that really need (not want, "need) these bonuses, don't get them.

If this hadn't happened at Christmas, I think it would've been a great example of the new generation of anarchy.

But happening at Christmas, it annoyed me. Lots of people going to see family and friends, to say nothing of going off on holiday.

Perhaps, because of my fascination with Germany, I should get a German film or two. Something from the German perspective, I mean, The Final Days of Sophie Scholl, or Changing Skins, or Downfall. You know, when I saw Downfall, I didn't actually enjoy it much, but now I know so much more about Nazi Germany, I might really like it.

The Devil Rides Out is also quite a good film.

You know, I don't know how to feel about The Quiet Ones? I thought it was pretty average when I saw it, a few years ago, but I wonder if I've underestimated it. Perhaps I should buy it. Also, it would be cool to own a New Hammer film.

I think the TV term equivalent of this is "bottle show". I think it's basically the same thing.

Bergman wasn't limited by budget or time, though. A lot of his films were pretty good.#

It's been a few months for me. Probably some time in the last 6 months. There are lots of small, 2-bit galleries in my home town, but there's a mid-sized, "proper" gallery as well, which I go into from time to time.

I can't afford the ones I like, though. ;_;

Oh yeah, TDAQH is about 25 (and this is on DVD), but it might be worth getting anyway. Very enjoyable film, plus it's maybe 2 and a half hours long, so it's good value for money.

I just looked at those 10 films I listed in post 26, and most of them were regular prices on DVD. About 7 for most of them. Daisies was about 12, though, and also, First Reformed was about 12 too, for some reason. I wouldn't let that stop me from buying FR, but probably Daisies.

Thoughts on those films?

I've only seen a little bit of it, but even the title of the video was raising red flags.

What do other people think of it? I must admit, I'm not sure if I can be bothered to watch the whole thing. I think I can see where it's going.

It's a shame, those films I've never been able to get. Moon in the Gutter, which I've wanted to watch for years, wasn't ever released on DVD or Blu-Ray (I don't think so, anyway). HealtH apparently never got any home release, which is sad.

Then, of course, there are those films which are needlessly expensive to buy.

That would make a good batch of films to buy. Lots of good films, and it's a really nice mix. About half are main stream, about half are indie. A nice mix of countries, as well. 5 American, 1 British, 2 French, 1 Czech, and 1 Russian.

Perhaps it could do with some more indie stuff, though.

To be quite honest, though, you won't die from a broken arm. And bones do mend themselves (although I'm pretty sure they do it badly, without a cast).

In Britain, medical treatment for that would be completely free.

But in America, it's very important to keep medical help out of the hands of the "wrong" people. Which of course makes perfect sense.
