Atlantica is simultaneously not as bad as I remember, and somehow worse. Half the worlds are just returning from the first game, how lazy of them... at least in halloweentown world we get to explore chrismas town this time so that's cool.

I forget how... small the worlds are. They're both small and also large and empty. There's an entire room in hollow bastion that's just... there. It's just a giant room with no heartless, no nothing, just tifa walking around.

Also have you not watched spectacular spiderman? It's an underappreciated, overlooked classic and definitive version of spiderman in all media, criminally abandoned and unjustly canceled due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time (the disney acquisition of marvel, sony debating how not to lose the movie license, etc)

I grew up with 90s spiderman of course. Owned so much merchandise, so many action figures... god what a garbage show. I will say this, it's interesting to go back and recognize characters you didn't even know the first time like the punisher, all thanks to the mcu.

I don't care about solo but rogue one is surprisingly good and the one I enjoyed most out of these new ones. If anything it would be the original DB in terms of making me care about the lore and stuff for a franchise that kept making it up later on as it went along.

Yeah Iron Man 3 was pretty garbage. What was the point of that house party protocol or whatever to pepper, just for show? And was it that simple and easy to remove the shrapnel in his heart, really? The thing that defines his character? They never even address iron man 3's ending. But then again they probably don't want to address the dumb movie where the dude who has a bunch of super suits still gets taken by surprise by some dudes in a helicopter with a bazooka.

The Avengers movies seem obsessed with negating the ending/message of the previous Thor movie. In Avengers 1 Thor is magically back on earth despite that negating the whole bittersweet ending of the first Thor movie where he destroys the rainbow bridge to save the world and thus never seeing natalie portman again.

In Thor 3 Odin is telling him how the hammer was only ever to channel his lightning powers, and that the power was in him all along, not mjonjir. In Avengers 3 he's all "actually you know what, I need a hammer/weapon if we're gonna defeat Thanos!"

my original tv I had since a kid finally died one day. I was on the computer I think looking at gamefaqs even with it in the background and with no warning, there was a loud POP! and the tv just turned off

my first HD tv I was literally watching it when it happened, with no warning it just suddenly went black with no sound. and I was never able to get picture or sound to show up again. so I got a new one.

What in the actual hell. Are these one-in-a-million cases or is this what I'm in for when I get into the whole "4k, HDR, dynamic something something" mumbo jumbo with new TVs that all the salespeople are peddling to me in the store?

And it's like, this is an issue that I hear no one talk about, which drives me crazy because it's a huge problem, made ironic by the fact that it's about something being small.

I mean, what's the point of buying a giant 60 inch TV if I have to sit barely 3 feet away from it to read text in an incredibly lore heavy game with volumes upon volumes of text to read? It just makes no sense. Not even the option to increase font size like websites do. Just drives me bonkers quite frankly. One of the bigger reasons why I was in no hurry to get into this gen.

Not really. You'll love it for a week and then it will become normal to you, and tou will enjoy it no more than your current one.

Although, if your current one is in 4:3 aspect ratio, that changes things. Considering you'll be able to read the stuff on the left and right sides of the screen for once.

The bottom and the top are the bigger concerns for me right now as evidenced by persona 5.

I hope it never dies since it has so many ports it has literally every port you could possibly want or need 4 hdmis, componet, composite, s video, vga or whatever you call that port I plugged my computer into it and used it as a computer monitor.
I was looking at new tvs and they don't even have half those ports.
Even though most of them are useless I tried my snes on it with the s video port and it didn't look too great the picture was so clear and sharp I could make out each individual pixel.

Right? The lack of ports (and basically options) makes me think those so called smart TVs are not so smart. Anyway I thought Samsung was only recently touted as good, not as far back as 2008.

I'm currently using a pseudo HD chinese knockoff brand from 15 years ago (maybe 32 inch? I don't really measure TVs) and my friend says it's a waste for me to play my ps4 pro on it. I didn't care up until I tried to play persona 5 and the game literally doesn't fit inside the tiny screen, the bottom part that shows the day of the week is completely cut off.

But even if I get like a 65 inch super 4k TV, where am I supposed to put it, and will it even bring me what I want out of life? It's not like I'm gonna be inviting girls over to marvel at my screen while eating seduction pizza, so what would be the point of getting a real TV?

How? He went from a Rey-obsessed deserter at the start of TLJ (he never devoted himself to the Resistance in TFA) to being a full-fledged Resistance soldier ready to sacrifice himself at the end.

That was his only good moment in the entire movie that is TLJ only to have Rose do something increadibly stupid and seal the resistance's fate.

To be honest, Finn could have been one of the best characters in the series if you think about it:

SW7: Finn rebels, sees the error of his ways. This causes him to clash with Phasma, but she kicks his ass because Finn is just a lowly stormtrooper.

SW8: Finn and Phasma face off again, but now thanks to the resistance, he has had proper training and is able to fight his former commander to a standstill, he also has gained respect throughout the resistance for his deeds.

SW9: it all comes to an epic conclusion, Finn's involvement is paramount in the victory of the resistance, and in a final showdown with Phasma, he is finally able to beat her and finally sever his ties with his past...

But instead (and this is true for the entire storyline of the new trilogy), there seems no planning ahead for any character and it shits over already established lore. Old characters who should be a pillar in this series are now just throwaway characters, and the main characters aren't flashed out in the slightest, so they can have a story that plays out over 3 movies.

I know the second trilogy got a lot of flak because Jar Jar and AotC, but at least the characters were more fleshed and planned out over the course of those 3 movies.

But phasma was considered to be pretty much a joke. Everyone was disappointed saying she was basically like jango bobba fett.

Even freaking ps2 had it with Star Ocean 3. Here's the kicker, it's not like the game was super long so as to need 2 discs (I mean, it's pretty decently long, but not oblong)

That being said, this is some BS. It's obvious the game wasn't compressed so they're making it sound bigger than it is, and even more obvious that the world is gonna be big and empty and completely pointless, this is post San Andreas Rockstar we're talking about, who no longer care about fun just stupid "realism" bullshit.

However, the marketing tactic seems to be working spectacularly. Surprised other games didn't do it sooner.

Not one episode but the entirety of the Goku/Freeza fight is the best part of the series for me tbh. The dynamic between them is fantastic

The only game I know of with a triple jump. Wherein I found out why triple jump is such a bad idea in platformers. The levels are just so boring in alice madness returns, they're big but not that fun.
