I don't remember any kidnapping. But Lester make a mass murderer so they could get more funds to his unit.. that would later bring help to bring down some baddies.

Oh that
I realize that thats was wrong but didnt really mind it so much. Although he helped, That was really mainly McNultys doing. But also the point that they were killings that probably wouldnt have been solved anyway. But fair enough either way

Expecting men to just lay down and let a woman continue to take advantage of him in one of the worst ways possible is a shitty thing to do.

This is actually the thing about this proposed situation that is most annoying to me. It's just another time where a man is expected to sacrifice himself, despite being just as much a victim in this situation as anyone else, ultimately to the benefit of the child which is selfless, but just as much to the mother as well. And I could totally see someone having a hard time coming to grips with that.

Not everything in life is about money. You could remove the financial obligation entirely and I'd still think it's a shitty thing to do to a child who has only ever known you as their parents.

I had a feeling that someone was going to bring that up.

Regardless of how you feel about money, it's important. And I could add other things to like emotional and physical and time element of raising a kid, that you otherwise wouldn't have been responsible for. I'm not about to tell someone how they should feel about that.

It sucks for the kid and it sucks for the guy. Why are his feeling virtually being ignored? He's just as much a victim.

Without a second thought.

Well, maybe that's a little harsh to say it like that, but I absolutely don't think I could stand to be a part of their life anymore.

That's a pretty shitty thing to do

Funny you call that shitty, but have no comment on the people who cheat on their spouse and lie to their spouse and their child(ren).

I'd say that's more shitty, like your post.

Yes, the wife is a lying piece of crap. The child however is innocent. Treating them like some sort of stranger isnt fair to them at best and is monstrously cruel at worst. They didn't ask to be born like they were, they had no choice in their parentage. Running out on them, the only father they ever knew, is just as shitty as the cheating wife. Maybe more so.

It also sucks that a guy is expected to be financially responsible for something he otherwise wouldn't have been financially responsible for. Everyone's taking a hit here, regardless of which route either party takes.

Yeah, we did that too. I don't think that really gets people thinking about investing, though. To me it was more just another boring math type we had to do, and most people just throw their money in the bank since they don't know the first thing about investing.

Eh, most of the examples we used were about investing money. So it's not unfair to say that they should make the connection.

Kids just thinking of it as another boring math thing to do in math is kind of their own fault to a degree.

That being said, I'm not sure it should go much beyond that, at least in regards to how to choose investments, etc. I don't think the average 16,17, and even 18 year olds are really ready for that. But that was the first time the connection was made for me.

This is not true

It was known from the jump that they were releasing the game early "in beta mode" because they wanted to get the game out early before the end of the Capcom Pro Tour & EVO. It was also known from the jump that they were planning to release the story mode ~2 months later at no additional cost

If you don't like that, fine, but stop misrepresenting the situation.

And just to correct myself before you try to harp on it, I was wrong about it being 2 months later, it was 4 to 5 months later. Still, as I stated it was always intended to be free, which is the main point I was contesting.

This is fair.

But people paid full price for what amounted to a fucking beta release, then they had to pay more for the story mode or other fighters. They had to basically buy the game twice and then they dare so this shit

Don't forget to add in the part where they added in several things afterward that would make up for the "beta release" for free.

I mean I get it, they didn't release what most would consider to be a full game, just give full context is all if we're going to go down this road.

They look bad and if you turn off they actually decrease your winnings from fights, which was already not that great in the first place. And what's more you bought the game already and they're forcing advertisements in. It's more like you rolled off the lot in a brand new car and then a year later the dealership rolled up and started pasting ads all over the sides of it

Once again, if you turn the ads off, then you get the same amount of fight money that you would have historically gotten. In other words, it's business as usual. There is no need to be upset about that.

To my knowledge, if you turn the ads off then you will be getting the exact same amount of fight money that you would have gotten if these ads never existed. That's not a punishment.

That being said, I agree that these ads ruin the aesthetic of the game and look terrible. I'd be fine with them advertising Pro Tour in the menu screen, but advertising it on characters and in backgrounds just looks bad and doesn't even make sense.
