I teach High School.

I saw a freshman wearing that multiple times.

It was really awkward because I was the only teacher who knew it was explicit in nature. So having to explain it to administration was really embarrassing.

Sonic is a more iconic video game character if you were a child in the early 90s and then tragically died. As this is GameFAQs, a lot of posters are in that sort of position.

The amount of exposure Pikachu has on any given day dwarfs what Sonic had at his height. He's had a hit show for 20 years. Merchandise is literally everywhere. He just beat Sonic to a live action movie and it even managed to not suck.

Sonic has been a punchline in the gaming community for 15 years and has had basically no exposure outside of that since dropping off his peak.

What I meant is you have certain units or pieces of terrain that have rules to block los regardless of height. Things like the wyldwoods and certain spells are supposed to be infinitely tall and block los absolutely. Similarly certain things always provide cover, but behemoths cannot be affected by cover.

You still have regular los as well but things are so big that it often doesnt matter.

Age of Sigmar seems to be moving towards terrain pieces, units and spells that have set rules regarding cover and los, rather than relying on more subjective assessments of height.

My biggest problem with Gameswork shop, is they don't really give you that much info about the various armies. I mean the core handbook will tell you about the lore, but nothing of the units or tactics. I knew a guy that loved gundams and so he got into Tau thinking it would be cool mech style fighting and melee...Boy was he wrong... He stayed because he liked the models, but he didn't like the gameplay that much.

I actually did a project on Battleships in school when I was a kid!

I don't know about cost, but its correct that they no longer see use in warfare. Japan invested heavily in building the biggest battleships in the world, and specifically prioritized American battleships in their attack on Pearl Harbour. Then American aircraft carriers sank their battleships before they could even get off their shots.

I remember that it wasnt really believed by most experts that planes were capable of sinking warships until the US did so in a test, but I could be misremembering, I was like 12.

Bias is understandable, but if you're not at least acknowledging the existence of other viewpoints then it's not informative.

At the same time, if a viewpoint is trash and you make no effort to criticize it in fear of appearing biased, that is equally problematic. I dont think shows should be against expressing their own opinions as long as it's not misrepresenting the other side.
