Story and characters arent bad either but the battle system is SO bad. Vesperia is still one of my favorite games of all time, but the soundtrack is only above average, if not average. Graces F has the best battle system (how is the healer the most fun to play as???) Xillia is about as okay a JRPG as you can get. Its the textbook definition of alright. --- |

Its gonna make me sad knowing that none of the really great characters ever caught a following. Even Heather. Had people actually watched this, she wouldve been one of the most popular tv show characters of all time. Some of the teenage actors fucking suck though. And the entire thing looks sickeningly blue. Theres everywhere. It has to be intentional, but its fucking weird, man. Everything looks bizarre and surreal because of it. --- |

Part of the tragedy of Dark Phoenix is that Jean was, like, a super heroic person. How many people are going to watch this and immediately think that all that Jean is, is some puppet for an evil space fire bird to possess and make go crazy? Nobodys getting time to even show who they are. Thats the real issue here. --- |

Game of Thrones did it (badly) Dark Phoenix is about to do it (badly) One of the Hobbit movies did it (but I dont think they had to kill her iirc) Do we even really see any examples of the opposite? Where some dude gets a rad power boost but a woman has to kill him because he cant control himself? Doesnt Dark Phoenix need, like, a whole ass movie or two to act as context to this whole thing? I thought they wouldve learned after Logan that people are actually invested in the X Men and will watch everything, and that these same fans have the attention span to remember stuff from two movies ago. --- |

I dont care if he looks realistic, its an ugly mess of a design in a movie that already looks bland and uninspired. Realistic =/= good. I know a really large chunk of the theatre going audience has been conditioned to think animation is inherently a childish thing, and rEfINeD adults can only enjoy live action, or at least brutally lifelike designs to the point of inherent creepiness, (look at half the designs in Beauty and the Beast 2017) but... is this what the future of live action/CGI combinations holds? Is Disney gonna real-ify every remake from now on? I cant wait for live action Hercules, only instead of the title character going to his fathers statue and getting it to come to life right away, he has to first disembowel a lamb to offer it as a sacrifice in a 20 minute long scene. Or live action Little Mermaid, except Flounder looks like an actual flounder. --- |

Season 8 airs. Freefolk hates it, GoT loves it. GoT says Freefolk are negative and aggressive, and it gets left at that. Freefolk decides to turn the final season into something positive, and pins Emilia Clarks charity to the top of their sub. Emilia herself hears of this and makes a video, which then gets posted on r/GoT. The mods got pissy, because their rival sub made it, and actively, aggressively, decided to delete HUNDREDS of comments and threads mentioning the charity. Now the sub is melting down, the mods who lied and said their bots did all the banning, have been called out, and everyone is unsubbing and all the mods are stepping down. Imagine being so petty you ban all mentions of a charity because the bad guys shilled for it. This is like a legit True North vs South conflict lol. Im just glad Emilias charity is doing well. --- |
