I really like Daisy Ridley as Rey, but I still think her potential was capped because they just made her too perfect a person from the get-go. One of the reasons Luke worked so well as a hero was because he needed a great deal of help and often seemed in over his head (maturing and needing less help as the story progressed). This made him more relatable and also gave other characters valuable things to contribute - nearly every main character in ANH saved Luke's bacon, even the droids and fucken Wedge.

With Rey, I feel as though every other person in the Resistance could be wiped out, and she'd just solo the First Order and win. Link works in video games (DUH), but not in movies imo.

I had such high hopes for Finn. The idea of a reformed storm trooper rebelling against the evil empire is, like you said, a perspective we haven't seen in Star Wars (at least the main movies; it's probably been done a dozen times in the EU). There was so much potential to tell a cool story with Finn, and they pissed it away immediately by making him useless comic relief. He's the closest thing this trilogy has to Jar Jar.

I said it a couple years ago in a B8 topic and I'll stand by the claim: after watching The Phantom Menace for the first time in ages, I was left considering it one of the worst "not intentionally trying to be schlock" movies I've ever seen. Uninteresting plot, uninteresting characters, horrible dialogue with wooden acting, and poorly aged effects. Totally agree that the memes (which are amazing) and the movie are NOT one and the same.

Episode II was similarly shitballs but was redeemed somewhat by the subplot where Obi-Wan investigates the clone army alone. Those scenes actually had a layer of intrigue and are easily the best part of the first two movies imo.

That's a fair point; I was also disappointed with the bait and switch trailer. I was waiting for Skinny Pete's scene with the police the entire time - it looked awesome in the trailer!

Simply seeing Jesse get his fresh start should bring a greater sense of closure to many fans. I never thought the original show ended poorly, but I did think it ended too abruptly for Jesse considering he was the co-lead and had a horribly tortured final few episodes. I don't think the point was ever to push a long-concluded series in new directions, but to give the co-lead his own "Felina".

Overall, I liked it. The pacing and tension felt like classic BB, though the climactic shootout with the antagonists felt contrived and kind of ridiculous. Jesse's escape was already tense enough; that was overkill.

Very true, it's possible for surgeons or specialists to earn such a salary right after residency (my parents gently encouraged my sister to specialize, but she focused on peds for half the money). So I guess it could be true for TC if he just wrapped up medical residency.

Agreed. Despite way more media coverage and an almost exalted status, the swing voter is dwarfed by the "fuck this I'm staying home" voter. In this case, I wouldn't be surprised if an impeachment inquiry galvanizes the "fuck this" voters on both ends of the spectrum.

Ariel's ceiling is high fodder. Almost all non-game characters (apart from the hugest names, particularly the big super heroes and Star Wars characters) will be handicapped on GameFAQs, and that goes doubly so for a character that doesn't much appeal to GameFAQs' 95% male, 30-year-old demographic. She's stayed relevant in popular culture at large since Disney Princesses are everywhere, but the Disney Princess brand targets a specific type of person, and the average GameFAQs user ain't it.

Her advantage relative to Jasmine or Belle is that she's actually the main character of her movie. Her disadvantage is that she's working with a less popular movie. At the end of the day, all three of the princesses from that era are high fodder at best.

My years-long take: Little Caesars is absolutely fine for the $5 price. Hell, if you have the app, you can add a 2-liter soda for free. An entire pizza and 2-liter soda for $5 might be the best deal in all fast food.

I just had Pizza Hut for the first time in years and couldn't really discern a noticeable jump in quality.

I don't know anything beyond Mr. Brightside, but one of their touring/part-time members (Ted) went to my university, so I got to know him and consider him a friend. One of the nicest, most mellow people I've ever met - he completely subverted the "guy in a rock band" stereotype for me.

Homeless people really aren't different from anyone else if you boil it down - if people find a comfortable situation, they will settle and stay there until either it becomes less comfortable or a better opportunity comes along. "A better opportunity" is probably rarer for homeless people, but maybe you/your dad can try for one by reaching out to a homeless advocacy group like icon said. Or if that's not feasible (or if the attempt doesn't work out cuz it probably won't) you can just make things less comfortable for them by hiring security or playing a heavier hand.

I'd guess approaching the local government is the slowest solution. I've never encountered a problem like this, but it doesn't seem like one that a landlord would contentedly wait months to solve.

Nice job - not sure I'd be able to get through a run this challenging.

One tip for Regenerators/Iron Maidens though - one shotgun blast to the legs downs them, at which point they manage one attack. Standard Regens will do a leaping bite, and the spiky guys will expand their spikes from the ground. If you can dodge this attack, or if you get to them before they launch it, you can easily stunlock them with your knife. Fifty-ish swings later and they're dead without even an opportunity to get off the floor. I feel that this is actually easiest on the Wii, since the knife auto-targets enemies so quickly. Hell, even if you tank the hit, one heal might be a better trade than the ammo you'd otherwise need to down them.

To start, take VIT to 35 (and take STR/DEX to 16/12 when you're close to getting Ludwig's). Surviving a couple extra hits is huge when you're less experienced. Then take STR and DEX to 25 each. Put all your upgrade materials into Ludwig's and cheese everything. That's probably the easiest path to beating the game.

I think the most OP path, though, is to stick to your starting weapon (saw cleaver). The skill ceiling is a little higher than Ludwig's, but the cleaver is insanely strong.

Not a huge fan of the genre, but Maiden's always been my favorite band, so there's my answer. I've given Slayer a few chances, but that thrash sound really didn't do it for me. Maiden's songs tell stories that gradually crescendo into their heavy solos, and I love that.

Metal fans, entertain a newb for a moment: would it be accurate to call Maiden among the "least heavy" of the big heavy metal bands?

Probably the $10m now. Most of the few posts I've looked through have people selecting the time travel so they can make ultra-rich investments, but $10m now is more than enough for me. I had a pretty happy childhood and am not sure a do-over would make it much better, especially as a grown man in a child's body. Hell, one of the regrets I have about my adolescent years is that I never had sex in high school, but I really doubt that would change if I went back in time and re-started high school as essentially a 37-year-old man.
