I turn my PS4 off completely every time. Rest mode was causing problems way back at launch for me so since then I just turn it off.
I don't even know how to turn of a Switch completely. It seems to go to sleep no matter what I do when putting it away. Which is fine as it never has issues and boots up super fast.

Well this issue lays with both Halo and Gears being under a new studio that wasn't responsible for creating them.
And both want to make it their own i.e. butcher it. So they fucked them both up. With Halo 6 it at least from an art perspective seems like they're returning to the old style. But that's just the art.
Gears.... Gears 5 comes out in a month and they're too embarrassed to even show campaign footage. That says tons about it. And what they have shown mp wise looks identical to Gears 4. I mean identical copy paste models from 4. That series is a mess.

As far as fast food places go they're the best. But that's not saying much. Their hash brown patty is wonderful.

If we include the quasi fast food places like Panera. Where it's sit down but some have drive thrus. Then The Corner Bakery Cafe. Their breakfasts are amazing. Their pancakes are the best short of homemade. Best restaurant scrambled eggs too.

Who is always concerned about minorities moving in next door in their precious track home "neighborhood" and lowering property value? The main reason HOAs exist.

Who talks a big game about homeless shelters but wants them no where near where they live? Instead wanting to put them in the minority heavy portions of town (looking at you LA).

In our church. Who are the ones who refuse to attend any church event held at the smaller church in my town out of fear that the poor people i.e. minorities are dangerous?

When it's time to bulldoze a section of housing because we claim we need a new park for community improvement. Who's neighborhood is chosen? Not the white section.

Look at gentrification. "Improving" sections of town so liberals claim. What is it in actuality? Removing minorities.

I have never in my life encountered a conservative that is anything as the media paints them to be. I'm sure some exist out there though. But the only racism I've ever witnesses first hand has always come from white liberals. Always while claiming they know best, they love the poor, they love colored people, "it's for the best", etc.

Great old school turn based gameplay. Average cast. Nowhere as good as DQ8.

My problem with it is the story and the re-use of locations in lieu of having actual new places to go to. Which a lot of games do but it's positively criminal in this game. You traverse the same locations with about a 5% change in them due to plot stuff 3 times. 3 times! 4 times if you include the optional areas. Which are just the same areas again.
Everything is great up until the plot takes a massive left turn into time travel nonsense for Act 3 which then proceeds to undo and remove all the character development that had taken place in Act 2. It removes all that good stuff and replaces it with absolutely nothing in return.

Tarantino can do alternate WW2 history by having Hitler killed in a theater. And have DiCaprio and Pitt murder the Manson family. But Bruce Lee not winning a fake fight in alternate history is what's got people's panties in a wad? Jesus fucking Christ!

With the time they waste between seasons, the fact that this is a prequel and some of the actors are already old.
They may want to think about wrapping things up before they lose someone or they simply start looking too old.

I love the show and wish it would go for many seasons more. We still don't have Saul yet. But time is working against them now.

Craig Ferguson was just perfect.
That was that span of like two years where we late night simply died.
Ferguson replaced by that little fat man everyone seems to love but I honestly can't stand.
Fallon took over from Leno. Which granted was like shit taking over for vomit. The only thing Fallon should host is a parasite.
Letterman ended.
The Colbert Report ended and Colbert became nothing but a shallow husk of what he's capable of just ranting about Trump every night.
Jon Stewart left the Daily Show and that pain in the ass Trevor Noah took over.

The one and only show left was Conan but now even it died when he stopped giving a shit and went to 30 minutes. My god that show is painful to watch now. That sad little set. No band. Conan trying to be "casual" with that jean jacket. As someone already pointed out. Clueless Gamer becoming just another celebrity plug instead of what made it unique and great to begin with.
Ferguson was I think the hardest to lose for me. Once upon a time I would have said Conan but these days it already feels like he's gone anyway. So when his show does actually end I don't think I'll care much.

When rent is 75% of your income and bills take up nearly all the rest. It's pretty hard for most people to save anything.

The only real way to fix things would be massive government involvement.
A living wage, forcing business to hire people and at full time, no ridiculous job requirements for basic jobs anymore, no automation of the workforce. And national rent control. Rent should be half of what it is across the board.
But none of that will happen. Eventually all of this will hit the fan in a massive way that is going to decimate this country. I really don't know what the hell happens when that arrives. But yes, pretty soon we will have a cost of living far beyond what the majority of people can afford. Homelessness running rampant and multiple generations without income or ability to find work, only getting worse as they get older.

I think in that case though there's the additional element that while Airplane! spoofs primarily Airport and Airport 1975. There were an additional 2 sequels in that series before Airplane! came about. And those sequels devolved into some truly embarrassingly garbage stuff. The series in and of itself became a parody of itself.

Many years ago we had a dog. Giant thing. Never cared one way or the other for it but it never did anything.
I had a cat that had kittens. Never had gone through that before. We kept her in a shed and the kittens still couldn't even walk. First kittens I ever had at my house.
That monster, in about a 15 minute span when all of us were in the house for a while (this was spring so we were all outside most afternoons). He tore himself from his penned off part of the yard. Tore through that shed door. And he ripped to shreds each one of those kittens. He left pieces around the yard.
Just because.

Saying this was a highly traumatic event for all of us but honestly myself especially would be a vast understatement. It's still one of the worst events I've gone through short of actual family illnesses and deaths.
Granted my grandfather and brother delivered some punishment. But I told my grandfather. I'll give you 2 weeks. Find a new home for that monster, let him run away by leaving the gates open, give him away, don't care. But if he's still here in 2 weeks. I will administer his end personally.
He was still there in 2 weeks. And I know it's because all involved wanted it so. And I handled it.

One of the football players I sat next to in my last period went home and blew his brains out in front of his parents and girlfriend.
We got the details from his bff who was a cheerleader a couple days later. She told the whole class.

He had called to leave her a farewell message and his reason why on her parent's recorder. She got it a few minutes later and she ran up to his house since I guess they lived just a block or so apart but he had already done it.
His girlfriend wouldn't have sex with him while all the other jocks were getting some so he killed himself.
That was literally his reason. There was brain and skull all over the girlfriend and parents apparently according to his friend. And yet somehow he didn't die until the next morning when they took him off the ventilator. Because yeah, the whole front part of his head was shot out.

To this day I can't listen to Bush because I distinctly remember their cd is what he was listening to in class that day. I could hear it from his headphones. And he shot himself like an hour later. So I've always wondered if he was listening to their depressing sounding music to in a way psych himself up to go through with it.

I'm willing to bet that "not an accessible place" is actually quite accessible. Because if she didn't have injuries indicative of a fall down there and obviously no one put her down there then that means she got down there on her own.

C'mon. I've been on hiking trails where there's lots of people. Idiot adults and especially kids climb on and through everything. Off the trails. On top of some dangerous looking rock where you wonder just how the hell they got up there because it's like 20 feet high.

I've seen doorless stalls before. We had a couple of men's rooms in high school without stall doors. And our city park bathrooms just have the toilets out in the open. The first is because kids being assholes they would hang on and break off the doors so the school would just leave them off. The other is because of the fucking trash homeless holding up in there.

The only time I've ever seen something like the picture provided. Where there's a door and walls but there's a huge like 2 foot by 2 foot opening in the middle. About 30 years ago in a men's room in the LA Coliseum. I was a kid and stood in line to shit. And that's what was there. I pooped right next to some 20s-30s year old guy in Raiders paraphernalia. It was that or in my pants. Can't really say I thought too much of it even as a kid. It stands out in my memory as weird but not violating.

Of course maybe because in the grand scheme of things I've experienced much worse in a public men's room. A few years later I got propositioned in a stall in like the super creepiest bathroom ever. Fourth floor, nothing else up there but an open unused tea room (restaurant) and at the end of two loooong half lit hallways from the elevator. The old Harris' building in San Bernardino. I ran out of that stall in sheer terror. Never said a thing to my lunatic grandmother because she would never let me out of her sight on Sundays at the mall again. Every fucking Sunday from opening to closing was spent at malls in SoCal with her. A true fucking lunatic.

Top loading.
Bending over. Mildew problems on seals. Seals in general that will leak.

And make sure to get a real top load washer i.e. one with an center agitator and one that will fill the drum with water (an override button for the bs water level sensor.)
There are things where I'm all for energy efficiency. A washing machine is not one of them. I have work jeans. Lots of people do. Socks. Bed sheets. Towels. Etc. They need to be washed. Wrung around an agitator in a full drum of warm water in good soap. Not gently massaged with water jets in minimal water.
That is just bs. Your clothes aren't getting washed in those pieces of shit.
High efficiency washers are going to something worse in the name of being better.

Like water arrestors in faucets. I'm still filling up the same size fucking pot or glass of water. All this irritating shit has done is make it so it now takes four times as long to do it. I remove those stupid things.

And what did I miss out on? One friend that had a girlfriend but both had decided not to go. He ended up going last minute stag, intending to hang out with some other football friends or something. Went. Caught his girlfriend there with some other guy from school. Lost his mind and bashed in her vintage Camero's windshields with his tire iron in the parking lot. Arrested as he was actually 18. Drama. Never came back to school. Was the talk of the school the remainder of the year. Oh it was a shit show.
Thank god I wasn't there.
