Of course she's also a bit crazy, a recovering heroin addict, and has 3 kids (at 24), but it's been a very long time since I've had attention/validation of that sort from someone I found (physically) attractive. I do think something funky is up with the balls, but the defensive shifts have definitely caused way more hitters to swing upwards for the fences rather than try to hit singles or doubles. Teams are willing to accept lower batting averages and more strikeouts if the player makes up for it with more home runs when they make contact, so more players are turning to that style. I call it Adam Dunn Syndrome, after the player who was doing the same thing over a decade before it was even popular. All of it dedicated to the slim chance they can rise to the top of their field and secure themselves financially for life.
