Ca did this years ago and sent my brother back to Reno, where he stayed for awhile before coming back to CA (La actually). He ended up on goverment disability and was able to get a room and live there, no clue how that all worked, didn't talk to him much during that time (and he died 4-5 years ago now).

Anyway heard they were still doing it, and it was in the papers or something before I left like 3 years ago to move to WA. Think they also were shipping prisoners as well as the prisons were so overcrowded.

I always thought it was kinda evil of CA to just ship their homeless to other states. Like, here you deal with them, lol.

I do not like our prison system and I think only people who are a danger to society should be locked up, and even then, they should have most of the chance at a normal life, just segregated from general society.

That being said, this sentence is STILL light enough to be within the realms of a punishment for just calling in a false report and wasting police resources (which could lead to a death due to them not being available for something else), let alone the ACTUAL death of a person due to your criminal act.

He got basically less then a year (15 months with good behavior is gonna be like 7 months...almost 1/2 a year) for directly causing the death of someone by his direct and conscious action. I hate the concept of sticking someone in a cell, but even I think that is warranted.

I do think something like a work camp, with light security, could be used in such situations, keeping short term prisoners away from long term criminals and possibly preventing them from a life of crime afterwards.

But yeah, you do something like this, you don't get off scott free, and most importantly everyone knows you don't...making it much less likely for it happening again.

Fed up with the cost to get anything delivered (honestly was gonna be $26 without tip included yet from anywhere decent), I decided to try little ceasars extra most bestest thin crust pepporoni finally. Been considering it for awhile since...well I like cheese and I like pepporoni...and supposedly it had alot.

Well it was absolutely not the most bestest. First there was no sauce...like none.....there was a faint redish tint to the dough..which I guess might have been sauce at some point, but that was it.

The cheese was pretty much the same as before in flavor (used to get it for my kids in an after school program on Wed when they were $4), but honestly it didn't seem like more cheese (or pepporoni for that matter) then what was on those $4 pizzas back then.

It was $11 total, but wasn't even worth that sigh. Should have just ordered one of the more expensive ones and picked it up...would have been $9 more or so, but would have been good enough to save and have as another meal or 2.

I just ate the cheese/pepporoni off the top of this and i'm still hungry (doesn't take much to make me full anymore either). Was probably like 20 slices of pepporoni all together and maybe 1/4th a pound of cheese if that.

Oh well. Least I have tri tip steak in the fridge for later if I get really hungry.

I live in WA where pot is legal and vape stores are on almost every corner (also selling pot etc).

Perhaps this is some back door way of making it harder for people to sell pot? Will states that ignore the laws on pot also ignore the laws on vaping?

I will say this, I know almost nobody under 30 who smokes.....cigerettes at least......but maybe....half of them vape or use vape pens for pot etc. It's extremely common.

Perhaps the real thrust here is to restrict and prevent MJ use and not about the 6 people who died or the possible health affects (that have not been apparent in the majority of people who are vaping all the time for the last 10 years or so).

I still argue that if your gonna take this stance against vaping, there is no excuse to not also do so about cigeretes themselves, since they are obviously dangerous and killing people and wasting tax payer money on ER or people without insurance.

The only Cig stores I know of are on indian reservations, meanwhile there are vape stores all over the place in Washington (although most of them are primarily to sell pot lol). If you actually did ban vaping, you would put a ton of stores out of buisiness (the ones that don't already also sell pot at least, perhaps they would have to start lol).

I don't remember ever getting free food before (although when I was married my wife would complain sometimes and get a discount or the meal for free....was pretty much the biggest cause of arguments (as I hated her doing that).

Even when I was in the military (although it was freaking 30 years ago) I never got free meals!!

And yeah, the first mistake wasn't that bad, I mean, who wants all legs instead of legs/breasts/thighs, but the answer is ME!!! So I can kinda understand (it was on the ticket though, they checked).

They dropped the chicken for me on the second time (Cause they didn't have enough legs, even though I gave them a heads up before even ordering), which is why it was under cooked, they didn't cook it long enough in a rush to get it out to me I guess. Have not had that problem any other time.

I have had people give me extra food though, or deals etc, I used to think it was cause maybe they had a crush on me or something. I'm too old now, so it must just be that people are nice, or like me or something lol.

What do you mean by "pie", because $20 anything that might be a pizza sounds outrageously expensive to me.

The cost in ingredients has not doubled, and by a pie, I mean a large pizza, with one topping (cheese or pepporoni for me) as a staple base. Supreme etc pizzas were always more expensive, but a basic pie used to average around $10-$12, then more for additional toppings.

That is no longer the case most places.

As far as the cost to make a pizza, it comes down to the quality of the cheese etc, but.....until recently you could get $5 favs at papa murphy's for instance (just cheese or pepporoni), which is a basic pizza with similar ingredients, and they obviously still made a profit (if not much of one).

So when you basically charge $20 for the same exact thing......there is obviously a much larger profit margin. Heck half the places that charge $20 are not even as good as pappa murphy's (Especially if you buy your own cheese and add it on top...which is what I used to do).

There are still places with good cheap pizza mind you. In Olympia there is NY Vinnies which had a $6 pepporoni pizza that was delicious, and eventually an $8 one that had double cheese and pepporoni that was even better. It's possible to find such places, but they are rare, most now costing at least $16 for a plain large cheese pizza and $2 more per topping (so for just a pepporoni it's $18 base ($20 with tax).

So yeah, you can get good pizza for the old prices, which proves the cost to make em hasn't gone up that much....just the profits margins for many places have skyrocketed.

I don't know what has happened to pizza and especially pizza delivery in this country, but it has gotten insane.

It wasn't that long ago that you could order a pizza delivered for FREE from most places, you tipped of course, but that was the only additional charge....and quite often the pizza itself was free if it was over 30 minutes etc.

First they ditched that (Domino's had the comercials but alot of places did it), and then awhile ago they started adding a "delivery fee". Now mind you, they started slow, with a low fee of like $2 or $3....that wasn't too bad, nobody really complained, and probably some people just stopped tipping to compensate (figuring the "fee" went to the driver...which it didn't).

But then the average cost of a pie everywhere started to go up. About 20 years ago, the only pizza place I knew that cost 20$ for a base "cheese" pie (large) was round table, and they always had specials of some kind to get it for less.

Then still somehow not getting enough profit from the same exact pizza they were making previously, they upped the delivery fee. Now most places charge around $5 and up to $8 depending on how far away you are. Lol.....the delivery fee is as much as the whole pizza used to cost in some cases.

This was brought home to me recently (not literally) when I checked on an old favorite pizza place in San leandro CA called porky's pizza. Now, it's not as bad as many, but since I was last there about 10 years ago or so, they have upped their prices to about $20 a pie and added a 2.99 delivery fee. This place has DELICIOUS pizza, but it also used to be seriously cheap (like $10 for a pie with free delivery).

Now it's about 2x the cost to get the same pizza, so even places that have been around forever have doubled the price just about.

Not sure why that is, the cost to make the pizza sure didn't go up much, and while hopefully they are paying employees more, considering the number of pizzas that go out each hour, that could barely have affected the actual cost.

I think it's all profit margins, and people making pizza and owning pizza places just want more money, while pizza has become more popular as people get to lazy to make food, and therefore they can get away with charging more.

Makes me sad, as pizza rocks, and should be cheap and available to everyone.

If anyone was looking for any other good dishes at popeyes, I am with you on that its not as consistent as chikfila but the Spicy Chicken Breasts are amazing and they come with a free biscuit for the low price of like $2.40

Mine actually does the 2 piece special 1 breast + 1 leg + 1 biscuit for $3.40, but I just get 2 legs cause I like it better.

They also have 10 piece for $15, I get that as well with just legs, but normally it comes with a variety of everything.

Net result is you can basically get their chicken for an average price of $1.50 a piece which is, as far as I know, the cheapest out there, and I like their spicy chicken the best so far.

I mean, honestly selling out for a day, or even a few days...that can be explained. After a few days though the stores should have gotten another shipment etc, which means they would have sold out no matter what, had nothing to do with the demand.

They basically just wanted to try it and see if people liked it I guess, and then maybe drum up demand by making people want it and not be able to get it etc.

Pretty crappy no matter how you look at it, there is no excuse for having more then a week go by without any chicken sandwiches being available. I have not tried one, but if they are as good as people say....I'm glad, cause then I would be craving one as well.

That being said, I had the extremely over priced Chik Fi La chicken sandwich and was NOT impressed at all...especially for the price. You couldn't even get mustard on it (though you could put it on yourself afterwards) no lettuce etc. Heck I said it before the dollar menu chicken sandwich at Mc D's was better in my opinion.

I don't think they make a spicy version of the poppeyes sandwich, but if they do, and it's not too expensive, I will probably give it a try when it is actually available.

Popeyes has in house specials (Ie, no coupon needed) so is significantly cheaper then Chik.

In fact Chick fi la is freaking expensive AF......especially the chicken nuggets (freaking insane, it's like over $1 per nugget, wth).

Meanwhile you can get the chicken legs/thighs for about $1 a pop at popeyes, same for the chicken tenders (I think it's 3 of them for $4...but with a biscuit).

As far as flavor, I have not tried the non-spicey chicken so far, but I will say this, the chicken legs (spicey) at Poppeys was superior to the chicken and nuggets at Chick (for me). I have also had the chicken sandwich at Chik (which was like freaking $6?!!! Bog), but they have been out of them at poppeyes so can not try that yet.

Honestly almost prefer the chicken sandwhich at Mc D's (although I have not had it in along time) which used to cost $1, and I think is $1.30 over the one at Chick for $6.

The line at Chik was insane as well, and the prices....seriously I got a sandwhich + small nuggets (think it was 4 of em) and 2 legs, and it was just about $20 after tax.

Meanwhile I have gone to Poppeyes a few times now. I would have paid $15 last time, but they messed up my order and gave it to me for free, other than that, it has always been under $10 for plenty of food to fill me up.

Have not been to KFC recently, and am going to give them another try soon but in the end between Chik and Poppeye, my findings were as follows:

Price: Poppeyes was almost 1/2 the cost of Chik for the same amount of food.
Flavor: Chik had good nuggests but they are seriously expensive, the chicken was better at poppeyes and I was not able to compare sandwiches yet. Over all I'd give poppeyes an 8/10 for flavor on the spicy chicken, and Chik (was't spicey or as crunchy...nor as light), a 6/10 (both were better then KFC last time I had them though).

Service: Normally don't even care about this but......Was able to get an order in right away, no long lines to park or do drive through etc at poppeyes even though it was right across from Winco and a bunch of other places. Chik was insane, the line for cars went out of the parking lot, and the line for orders inside felt like the DMV (Seriously I think I waited 15 minutes). So whatever for poppeyes, same as everywhere, but -5 for Chik on service.

Over all, I won't go out of my way for poppeyes, but if i'm going to winco (for my spice drop fix...I am so bad)....I'll almost always grab at least the 2 piece for $3.50 for a quick flavor burst/snack *yum*.

If for some reason I drove by the chik filet and I was starving AND there was no line AND I won the lottery so I didn't care about money, I might buy some of their nuggets again....maybe.

Nobody should be forced to live, at any age, but there should be methods developed to help people who are struggling to resist doing so, and hopefully get whatever is causing them to want to commit suicide to stop.

I would argue that the right to life (or not life), is our most basic and universal right and nobody should be prevented from ceasing to exist.

I would put....qualifications in before actively assisting in a suicide, for instance a time frame (6 months after the initial request) and counseling (at least a few sessions).

It is legal, and assisted suicide methods are available in parts of the world, which means that it's money that primarily gets in the way if someone is serious.

Honestly if I was really trying to prevent people from commiting suicide, I would provide an assisted suicide program that requires a few months of commuity service, and counseling, which quite possibly could solve many of the primary reasons (a job..and exersize to help fight depression, someone with training to help with mental issues etc).

Commiting suicide yourself isn't easy, so if another method was available, it just required going through certain steps, it's quite likely many people who would have commited suicide on their own, would go through the process, and possibly not end up doing so by the end. I would imagine far more people would end up not dying, then the few who would end up doing so with assistance (legally).

There is an american version of PSO2 coming out soon though. I will give it a try for sure, it's supposedly very popular, but it doesn't look similar to the original. Really do wish they would make a port for another system. I no longer have my gamecube or my dreamcast.

Played the beta and it put me off purchasing it almost entirely. I love Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, Nioh, Bloodborne, etc... Couldn't get into Code Vein.

I have worked 2 jobs at once.

If you count volunteering (Still work, just didn't get paid), I have done 3.

When I did my student teaching I was working 2 jobs, plus going to school full time + doing the requirements for my teaching credentials in CA AND taking care of my wife and best friends wife (Did all the shopping/cooking/cleaning/bills etc).

I didn't get much sleep.

At other times I did things like work for a company copying 3.5 discs + working at Sanders and Sanders landscaping (paid my rent at that point, was before I started to split the profits with them) etc. Often tried to find jobs that covered rent/reduced expenses etc, around a normal job that I could save most of the money from.

Also my wife was an attorney and for years I'd help her with cases, drive her around and basically be her legal aid, even while working other jobs...so you could say I mostly worked 2 or more jobs at a time.
