I don't understand people who say this.

In old film canon, the entire crutch is on the Skywalker family and all of them having force connections.

In old EU canon, we had a whole multimedia story about the son of a Jedi becoming super fucking powerful and becoming Vaders apprentice.

In the new canon, we have Rey being the granddaughter of Palpatine.

Besides...as much as we dislike the whole "midichlorians" thing...that kinda supports the "the Force can be genetically inherited" plot point if it's biological.

Bulletpoint list for video:

• Sonic Adventure 2 was his first foray into the series, then Mega Collection, then Sonic Adventure. Loved them all.
• After Sonic Generations, the series fell off. In an attempt to garner sympathy points by Sega "taking their time" with the games, the quality never really seemed to improve. "Quality over quantity" ended up being neither.
• Sonic is carried now by self-deprecation, self-referential humor, and meme humor. It's big because of its twitter following and not for how much of an impact the games make anymore.
• Flanderizing every single one of its characters to the point where they're not interesting anymore.
• The only thing people seem to look forward to with Sonic are Tyson Hesse's animations and the music and Sega knows this.
• Despite most of the games of the Dark Age being rather shitty, you could actually tell they were wanting to take Sonic in new directions and develop their characters compared to now. The storybook games were interesting takes on the franchise despite the motion controls being downright awful; Shadow had a really cool concept with fleshing out the character despite the edginess turning out incredibly childish; Sonic '06 seemed to be the definitive Sonic experience for the modern era, the Sonic Adventure 3 if you will, but ended up being horribly rushed, broken, and unfinished. But despite all that, the Sonic Advance trilogy and the Sonic Rush games ended up being some of the best games of that age.

The movie was an enjoyable conclusion to this mess called the Disney Sequel Trilogy, but passionate fans understand the damage episode 7-9 has caused the franchise as a whole.

I'm not one to claim that anything retroactively ruins an entire franchise if it was good before so I find that a bit silly. But I haven't seen Rise of Skywalker yet so I don't know how I would feel about it yet.

Difference being is where the blame is placed.

The moment you go into "it's a conspiracy, the ones who made the game/movie are spamming bots to inflate the rating" is when I stop taking it seriously. Like...it's just rabid fans who have no life that are doing this.

No. People already bitched when Lucas went back and made changes to the original trilogy, an actual remake of them would be insane. Disney's done best when they made spin-offs of Star Wars anyway.

Their spin-off films and series have actually had a better critic reception than the sequel trilogy, so they should just do more of that. Rogue One was good, Solo was surprisingly really good, and Mandalorian so far has been a great show.

I saw a terrifying gray statue looming over a character, only for it to blink and realize its a woman who is a cat, but they colored her and then forgot to add fur. In one scene, nearly all of Judi Denchs hand is a fluffy blond like her the coat of her cat character, Deuteronomy. In another, its just her regular hand, replete with what appears to be a wedding ring. Most cats have human feet, but some cats wear shoes. Except for newcomer Francesca Hayward, a ballerina who does a long and gorgeous dance number on pointe. Its a beautiful skill and the kind of thing youd normally need to pay to see in a theater. Here you see it for the price of a single movie ticket! But they CGId out her ballet shoes and gave her digital toes that skitter weightlessly across the floor, engendering a powerful feeling as wrong as that Pixar baby 30 years ago.

Oh wow. If the movie's effects were that blatantly unfinished why didn't they just delay it? It apparently only took a week to put all the fixes out.

People say that Disney Star Wars is apparently the worst thing ever, but forget that they've put out some really good stuff that wasn't tied to the main movies.

I pretty much agree.

Rogue One, Solo, Mandalorian, all great Star Wars stuff Disney has put out. Haven't read the comics or books they've produced yet.

I don't like the QTEs in Bayonetta (not unexpected considering the era it came out in) but what is so radically different about Bayonetta 2? I hope I'll still like it (gonna wait a year or so before playing it)

Well, Bayonetta 2 gets rid of the blink-and-you'll-die QTEs so that's good.

And like I said, most of the game is boss fights and large enemies so it'll have a grander feeling like the stakes are higher. The story's easier to follow too.

Bayonetta 2 was great but I'm not sure I agree with it being better (or worse)
than 1. They upped the ante but as a result I don't remember many regular levels and minion battles. It was like 70% boss battles and the Umbran Climax mode kinda trivialized most lesser encounters.

The game also has a bad camera and the visuals are like an optical migraine sometimes.

Interesting note about the camera. It doesn't tell you this at all, from my knowledge, but pressing down on the right stick, keeping it pressed, and using up or down on the D-Pad zooms the camera in and out.

Empire strikes back was lightning in a bottle, you can't pull off that kind of plot twist again.

Maybe I just completely don't remember the film, but wasn't it shown that Snoke was manipulating Luke at that moment? Meaning it wasn't him that was seriously considering murdering a child?

Granted, I don't know why Snoke would do that since he wanted an apprentice, so maybe I am misremembering.

Yep, that's how I did it. Works in the other 2D Metroid games after Super too. In Fusion's and ZM's case I think it actually completely stops your momentum after getting out of a spin.
