Just got back, liked it overall. There's a couple specific plot points that made me raise an eyebrow, and it's too fast paced with a lot going on, but other than that I really enjoyed it.

Starfleet doesn't get involved in internal matters. A giant war between two other powers isn't something it would normally get directly involved in.

Yeah but this war involves parasitic slug aliens taking over humans that have already infiltrated Earth.

Unless there's two Earths in your scenario and Starfleet Earth is fine, but even then I don't think they'd ignore it.

For years it's been left unknown what happened when Jake and crew ram the Blade Ship at the end, but fairly recently the authors said in a reddit AMA that it was a deliberate callback to Elfangor doing the same thing and that he survived, so they did as well.

I don't know that I'd really consider the Animorphs a superpowered organization when it's five teenagers conscripted to an intergalactic war.

Might not be a bad choice though because even the background characters (the auxiliary team towards the end of the series) get the exact same powers as the leads. Their ultimate fate is shitty but if you could avoid that you'd be ok.

Yeah it's basically a stealth sequel to Alan Wake, and the Ashtray Maze is a callback to a similar moment in Alan Wake, which uses a different song by the same in universe band. Two members of said band are in Alan Wake, actually.

I hate to say it, but it's time to give up on Jedis and the Force. The juicy Star Wars material lies in a world not devoted to hokey powers.

Hard disagree on this. Star Wars is both sides of the coin, and it should have media dedicated to both the Force side of things and the seedier side of things.

I'm aware I'm in the minority on that though.

I liked what I played but i wont play thru it until I play the series, chronology an issue for me

DMC1 is a bit dated but you can definitely see the roots of it originally being an RE4 prototype, DMC2 is a lesson in rushing sequels, DMC3 is probably the best game in the series competing with 5, DMC4 is also quite good but they had to rush it out so there's a lot of backtracking, and DMC5 is the culmination of everything they've put into the series thus far.

The reboot is OK, especially the definitive edition, but the characterization is so far off from what it should be that it really throws me off.

A personal favorite is the noise for Nero's Exceed mechanic in DMC. It feel so good to land several consecutively and the sound design is a large reason for that.

Devil Trigger, Crimson Cloud, Silver Bullet, and Voltaic Black Knight from DMC5. Subhuman's original version is awful, the one in the game is much better but I still don't like it much outside of gameplay like I do Nero and V's themes. Subhuman is best when the chorus drops in as you hit SSS.

She's a street rat smartmouthed thief that seems to become Harley's apprentice/Harley 2.0, which is about as far from Cass as you can get. And yeah the leaked script makes everything much, much worse.
