I'm replaying it right now and I've also discovered a new love for telekinesis. It's incredibly strong for an early game plasmid. For some reason corpses are one hit kills against most things even on Hard. It also uses little EVE. But also, Target Dummy. While I see telekinesis mentioned often, Target Dummy is the real underrated plasmid lol. Free headshots, danger-free action research photographs, distracts turrets and camera without setting off alarms. Can let you wait out alarms risk free if you don't wanna spend on bot shutdown switches. Works well with almost any other plasmid. Idk how I never used it before. --- |

I get that some people take their games very seriously and want to feel like they're a part some exclusive club, but in reality it makes a lot of sense to include something like an easy mode, including business wise. Plus, not only do you attract a bigger audience, but as someone else mentioned it can be good game design to make it as a stepping stone towards learning the game and moving your way up, similar to how standard souls might not be challenging enough to some who have mastered it and do self imposed challenge runs like SL1. It's an added layer of freedom for players to tinker with. But I know. Gatekeepers gonna gatekeep. --- |

| Kickflip 07/15/19 3:50:34 AM #42 | RE2 is the second worst classic RE game. However, this doesn't mean it's bad. I think the series is really good, but they progressively got better with each game. This always made confused as to why 2 in particular got so much praise. It's not particularly scary. It's really easy for a survival horror. The locations/map is less interesting than say the entire city (which even includes some of the police station) or literal Antarctica. It lacks some of the basic QoL features from the sequels like 180 quick turn. And so on. Again, not bad at all, just a game that was clearly surpassed, yet is held high in regard for...reasons. --- |
