I've also said I'm open to stipulations being in place. Those stipulations come from people more learned than us.

There's an honest discussion to be had here, but this site as a whole has proven time and again that they're not ready to have it.

I believe that those who say "ban all transgender people from sports no question" would have said "ban all black people from sports" fifty years ago.

My line of work is very different in that regard. As a safety consultant, the less higher ups hear from me, the better. :p

One of the faculty at our university works from home and she hates it. She feels caged in her house as she's not very social and work used to be the only real reason for her to get out.

This is me. If I didn't leave home for work I'd probably go bananas.

I also probably wouldn't get much work done comparatively because I'd be surrounded by things in my life that distract me, such as video games.

There are others that are more engaged (usually done on nonprofits and college campuses), where you play games that serve a point on how diversity works. They go by different names, but there's the "line of privilege" game, a systematic oppression card game, and just other "pair and share" activities to understand how different people are. And it goes to more than just race and gender. It talks about low income vs high income, rural vs urban, abled vs disabled, single parent home vs dual parent home, etc.

I'd like to hear more about this. I've never specifically been involved in this in any respect.
