I don't get to travel much in my line of work.

Unless you count going to my clients as travel.

Which I don't. It's basically just "going to work". Four days a week at one place, one day at another.

Being a contractor and all, my parent company isn't really all that interested in sending me somewhere where I won't be giving them billable hours.

I'm going to DC at the end of the month for a long weekend. Was originally going to the American Society of Mammologists conference to watch my best friend give a presentation and use it for networking.

But as of last week she and I are not currently best friends so... guess I'll just do the tourism thing.

So it's not really a roguelike. You explore a Hyrule overworld and dungeons and dying sends you back to any Sheikah Stone you've tapped.

Some items are permanent. Some are not.

Unlike Necrodancer, hearts are very easy to find under bushes, but with the enemies and their patterns, I still died plenty.

Dying costs you all your Rupees and keys, but not your diamonds. You get diamonds typically upon clearing an area of enemies.

Music is bananas awesome.

Mr. X's appearance in the original RE2 was a different kind of scary. He would show up in specific rooms, and only on the "B" scenarios. His walk was much slower, and while he still couldn't be killed, he was easily avoided. The only real thing scary about him was his implacability, which, for the time, was pretty scary, given there were no invincible monsters up to that point in RE history.

Is it like Nier's combat? Can you switch characters freely? How does co-op work? Are there combination attacks? Are characters even on the screen at the same time? What is this game?
