I said in another topic that my issue is that they're about 90% of the way to looking just like the MCU, but that last 10% drops them in uncanny valley.

I feel this game should have tried to have its own identity like Spidey did. Costumes different enough to stand out, and not having the Avengers be the MCU Six minus Hawkeye.

Ultimate Alliance 3, for example, looks properly different and outside of the MCU. Sure the costumes are *close* to the MCU, but not so close that the different faces/voices look off-brand, and they mixed up the teams so you've got different people together.

EDIT: Now, it could stand that that's just the prologue, and once we rejoin the Avengers members five years later, they look a lot different. If that were the case, I'd think that it would have been better marketing to show *those* looks for the reveal.

Another thing I think it's worth pointing out is that in the first two games, you came to place "after the fact" and had to piece together what happened.

Infinite you're very much coming to the place as things are starting to get interesting, so it's less about "what happened" and more about "what could happen".

Yeah, Infinite is a different story in a different world. It takes place much earlier in American history, on a city in the sky, and instead of economic themes, the game focuses more on religious/belief themes. The science is different, too. BS1/2 are focused around the idea of genetic modification. Infinite's is... something different.

Oh, and the gameplay is different in a few ways. While BS1/2 involve more exploration and scrounging, Infinite kinda downplays that for more action and linear progression. The combat is runny/gunny. You can only carry two guns at a time. There are still elements of the old gameplay, but they're more downplayed.

The power disruptor was one of the worst parts of that show. :-/

Like how do we beat the Justice Lords! Oh, let's just build a gun that sucks away their "powers", despite the fact that their powers were given through many different avenues. Some of them are genetic (Superman, J'onn). Some are tied to a planetary power source (GL). Some are powered by items (Diana).

Kinda silly, especially since it never comes up again. They could have done the same to Doomsday, but instead tossed him into the Phantom Zone.
