Panic shopping, absolutely.

What about when the shelves are mostly empty, and the store isn't getting the shipments they need, so many things are gone in a couple hours after getting the sporadic shipments. Is it really wrong, not to horde, but to get an extra or two while it's there?

Unless I'm explicitly told NOT to go to work by the people that pay me, then unfortunately so.

I can afford to take time off, easily, and I do have holiday days free but there won't be a job to go back to if I down tools myself.

That's what a quarantine would mean, unless your company is considered essential.

They're doing it because his premise (that this has been in the US since the fall) is false, and in the real world doctors and nurses are already facing the strain of a lack of equipment to handle this influx of cases.
