I think this is gonna probably see the most backlash from the lapsed gamer who was looking forward to it, who aren't keyed into the industry. People who loved FF7 and don't play games much anymore, but were looking forward to thing.

Gerstmann recanted a story about a guy in a Verizon store working on his phone talking about excited he was for the game, and how the guy had no idea it wasn't "the full game" as we thought at the time. That person is going to be confused as fuck about what's happening.

Actually...maybe people further in know, will this game even be a multiparter? They never ACTUALLY said that it was, right? That was what we assumed because it was "All Midgar".

Im fairly confident theyve confirmed theyre doing multiple parts, and what Ive read of spoilers definitely doesnt suggest the remakes ending isnt setting up for a continuation.

thats what I wanted, but (remake spoilers) that doesnt really sound like what this is. In a weird way it seems like it keeps the original canon and this is an alternate universe that keeps seeing peeks into the original so things go differently?

I wanted some new stuff, definitely some elaboration on stuff that was already there...but it sounds like we cant even really depend on this game to have everything from the original if this new stuff causes the plot to go off the rails.

Im concerned were going to end up with an ending where your party contains a still alive Aeris and Zack and an alternate universe version of Sephiroth in a final boss fight against an evil Aeris from another timeline.

I was curious a couple days ago and decided to check my old WW and NL towns... Static was in both.

Isaac seemed like it should be a relatively strong indie game to me and Nioh seemed like one of those B tier AAA games that is good but not super discussed so I thought it woukdnt do great (like dying light or dishonored)

Looks like everyone here likes to get a variety of animal species. I've seen some players who actually try to get as many as they can of a certain species (usually mice, cats, or squirrels). I guess I can understand that, but it takes away some of the charm to me.

I was tempted to make my island 100% birds (including eagles, ducks, etc. not just the generic bird species), but im too attached to a cat I have on my island to actually go for it at this point.

oh totally, I have an Italian friend with very dark skin

but white isnt really as straightforward as skin color. My friend Tony doesnt have people suspicious of him at airports like a comparatively lighter skinned Arab man might.

Brown isnt like an official census thing, its more of a social/colloquial thing. I think it can cover Latinos and also Arabs and Indians (from India, not native Americans) and stuff.

Like even if someone from the Middle East would technically check the white box on a census form, theyre not white in the way a French guy would be.
