I wouldnt want an FFX remake in this style because I love Xs turn based combat too much. I think it has my favorite turn-based battle system of any rpg.

VIII would be good because Ive never been able to get into that one. Updating it could go a long way.

IX is the PS1 FF that I think works best as a PS1 game in the sense that the less realistic graphics suit the game well. I think youd need a very different art style from the VII remake to do IX right.

VI... I really wish theyd done a DS remake like they did for IV. Remaking it now would be pretty cool, but also its really hard for me to imagine it ever happening.

my gut instinct is theres a top tier of four games in some order (LttP, OoT, TP, BotW)

then theres a second tier of three games in some order (LA, MM, WW)...one of those is fifth.

also maybe ALBW is in that tier but I forgot about it existing at first so I guess I feel less strongly about it

anyway, I think ive settled on Wind Waker as fifth best

I just had the best dumbest win in limited

Auspicious Starrix: whenever this creature mutates, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile X permanent cards, where X is the number of times this creature has mutated. Put those permanent cards into the battlefield.

Turn six I mutate one of those onto my Brushwagg, get a 2 drop creature
Turn seven, i mutate a second Starrix onto my Starrix, which gets me the top four permanents of my deck.
those four permanents included an 8/8 haste and trample creature and a 7/7 sandwurm

next turn I did like 20 damage all at once, it ruled

This is a fun set. Im still not totally sure I know what im doing, but it feels cool and different.

just a little over an hour in, just encountered (do I even need to spoiler tag this at this point?) sephiroth

initial feeling is that this looks amazing and I want to play the entirety of FFVII like this right now and it sucks that it will take a million years for the whole thing to release

the voices are pretty good. Matt Jones for Wedge is pretty funny, sephiroths voice doesnt feel quite right to me, but also im not sure what I think he should sound like. I kinda just imagine Seymours voice? I dunno.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the hell out of Melee, but Brawl was such an improvement on it in every single way (except the aforementioned circlejerky "competitive Smash" way)

As a noncompetitive type, Melee was a much bigger improvement on 64 than Brawl is to Melee. You dont have to be a competitive player to appreciate that they gave characters a fourth special move.
And Melee had Adventure Mode and All-Star mode + trophies to unlock which gave it a much more substantial single player experience than 64 had.
64 is like a Melee tech demo and Brawl is like Melee + more stuff (which I totally appreciated, I love stuff)

Majora's Mask was on a lot of "best of" lists even at the time. I'd say it's deserving.

I mean, the Zelda series is not popular for no reason. Probably easy for me to say since it's my favorite game series and two of my top three games hail from it.

Majoras Mask is very good; but I can definitely see the argument that its a bad game of the decade since it really feels like a game from the 90s that just released a little later than it should have.

but also I only vote on which game I like better and not which one deserves the title or whatever so I dont actually care

Why is everyone here pretending that Witcher 3 is not going to win this thing? That game has pushed gaming forward more than any other game on this list. It's by far the most deserving game on the list. Hell, no game on this list deserves it more than its own DLC Blood and Wine.

Witcher 3 is a great game, but I dont really see how it pushed gaming forward in a significant way.

Ive been playing that deck and had the eight 0 mana libram situation work out in my favor well. I had like three silver hand guys and was able to just build one up, trade with a minion, then build the next one up and trade, and repeat

im enjoying the deck, but im only at like platinum 7 or something

Does Cuphead beat Shenmue? GTA5 is currently doing a few points worse on Cuphead but I think people believe GTA5 is also weaker than in 2015.

m posting here mostly just to bump this thread, but I'm thinking of maybe doing one with PlayStation All-Stars/MvC: Infinite and Mass Effect: Andromeda/Metal Gear Survive tomorrow. Don't feel like flooding the board with new topics.

my gut feeling is that PS All-Stars should win that because its not a really a bad game... just not a good one. It was a let down rather than a huge mess.
