I've heard that the biggest problem with FC5 is that it's almost too hands-off in terms of progression, even compared to FC4 and FC3.

Tbqh, I hate the tomb raider reboot games in a lot of ways. They felt like weird torture porn like the hostel movies and shit. Like, there's more ways and visual displays of Laura getting killed, hurt, or assaulted than there are any other animations in the game.

The games really did feel more like an even more formulaic uncharted series, and that series already was ridiculously formulaic with ass combat.

I hate to criticize the new TR games because IMO the amount of work they put into them is exemplary, but TR is just too much like Uncharted for its own good, which is ironic since Uncharted itself was basically an homage to the old TR games.

I literally spent the entirety of March admitting patients that I'm pretty sure had covid-19 but I couldn't get tests, while on national TV Trump claimed that they had more tests than they knew what to do with, and everything was fine.

Then I spent half of April listening to far-right commentators claiming that covid-19 was over diagnosed, basically a hoax by liberals and Democrats. And I'm a registered Republican. Talk about maximum cognitive dissonance. I'm so glad, in retrospect, that I finally got to see the right-wing misinformation echo chamber for what it really is.

Geforce 1660 Super (went cheap on the video card because Id rather wait for the 3000 series to splurge)
1 TB + 256 GB SSDs (the 256 from my old build)
1 TB HDD (also from old build)
2 monitors (old monitor 1680x1050 60hz, newer 1080p 144 hz as the main screen)

that's a good idea with the GPU, supposedly the 3000 Series is a dramatic increase in performance

I do. I put an NVME m.2 2 TB drive (Samsung Evo Plus) into my laptop. This was the old m.2 nvme drive.

I got an enclosure just so I could clone the drive to the new one, but for kicks and giggles I decided to test the speed as an external drive after wiping it, and I mean - the results are just amazing for an external drive.

Those are some legit amazing speeds for an external drive. Twice as fast as most internal SSDs.
