Learning to cook well will really help you optimise the nutritional value of the food you are eatin as it will allow you to sub out less healthy aspects of your food or waste calories. For instance I switched out my bottled cooking oil for an aerosol and given that I eat 90% of my food from a wok, I save myself hundreds of calories a day. You can season a protein a million different ways to keep it interesting. Also try cooking larger batches and refridgerating if you get cooking fatigue. That said, try not to get bogged down with the minute details. Yes, brown rice is healthier but its a tiny part of your diet. If you don't like it, stick with what you like. A sustainable diet has to be something you enjoy.

Short term, probably a surge in funding and research for artificial insemination and in vitro techniques as well as a spike in sexually transmitted diseases. Long term, probably a complete overthrow of the concept of family, perhaps with gay and lesbian couples raising children between them with four parents as society adapts in a more organic way. This would obviously have massive knock on effects to housing and the job market. Birth rates would probably fall a decent amount. The entertainment industry would massively change and probably be less exploitative or at least exploitative in different ways

Birth rates would plummet in the developing world and there would likely be huge amounts of conflict as people grappled with their new sexuality and existing traditional and religious morality. Peoples would likely become much more nomadic and immigration and refugeeism would increase even further

The hell does this even mean? You claim youre discussing in good faith and come out with some thing like this? Way to get someones back up.

As for the rest of your post firstly Im sorry you have family affected. I have as well.

Secondly its quite obvious most of the posts on here are tongue in cheek and not to be taken too seriously.

I do agree with some of your points definitely but I feel that considering this is a US site and how much theyve been affected recently not surprising there is a proportion on here that have a negative reaction to people they feel are taking it lightly.

I mean we still have people who genuinely feel its not as bad as the flu still and any lockdown is completely stupid.

Maybe I believe that proclaiming COVID to be the end of the world is dangerous in the same way as saying it's "just flu". Especially on here

Maybe some of it is tongue in cheek but I have seen enough examples on here than clearly aren't

It's not at all and your response suggests the answer is no.

It's very easy to sit on the sidelines and tell people to calm down when you yourself aren't being massively impacted.

Just nonsense projection

If you must know I have two close family members in the hospital with this and yet I'm not screeching that the sky is falling since I am mature enough to separate emotions from facts.

This glaring flipside of the point that you are trying to make is the implication that everyone in this topic who is panicking HAS been apocolyptically affected by this rather than the more likely scenario that have simply lived a comfortable life that has made them I'll equipped to handle a major crisis rationally unless it is accompanied by killer graphics and online multiplayer. Ironically an accusation you have thrown at me for not joining the consensus that the world is literally ending.

First episode is what's called a pilot where the show is advertised to a network. If networks like the show, They'll broadcast it to their channel but then there's standards the directors/producers have to follow with said show on network.

Sure, but in half the cases mentioned we're talking about Netflix commisionned shows. They also do it frequently in the first episodes of later seasons.

However the titties in True Detective were a few eps in no?

I had 80 people and booked a really nice place. I dont think you should have a big one for the sake of it or spend with the aim of impressing people but at the same time the idea is that its something you only do once so it should be the day you want it to be. Just plan an amazing party without spending a fortune on bullshit no one cares about like flowers and centerpieces.

I remember about 25 years ago when I moved to the countryside from Birmingham and back in those days everyone was pretty much local born and bred and I was completely ostracized for having a strong brummie accent.

Since then I have lived in USA for 7 years and poland for 6 so even though now I live in Cambridge and there is a tendency for people to have an educated accent, I don't really stand out as anything.

Couple things about this

I have seen two studies, one showing BAME make up 18% of serious cases, one showing 34%. I don't know where the disparity comes from and which is more reliable but it is a hell of a difference.

The four worst hit areas have a disproportionately high minority population. I think that it is putting the cart before the horse to think they are worse hit because they have more minorities.

BAME population of 14% of the UK is 10 years old statistic. It is likely higher now.

The proportion of NHS workers from BAME communities is disproportionately high. I have seen statistics that 20% of serious cases are healthcare workers.

On the flipside, the UKs elderly population is predominantly white
