Sir, I Suspect that you are not acting in Good Faith.

Wait do we get to inspect the officers to ensure they are all female?

I didn't initially think of that, but it's a good idea.

Almost nothing I post is totally serious, and when I am totally serious, I usually state it directly cause, you know, I'm not normally totally serious.

Doesn't mean I'm not interested in the responses, just also doesn't mean I really think we should have an all woman police force.

I wonder if guys would commit crimes just to get frisked/patted down by the cops?

But yeah, if they took like martial arts and worked out and stuff, they could prob handle the average dude if needed.

Another option is just to have the female cops be the ones in charge, and there is always a female cop with a male cop basically to reign them in.

How about a simple solution to most of the problems with the police force right now. We start phasing out all the male police officers and eventually have a fully female police force.

While bigotry etc may still exist, for the most part the toxic officers will be gone, and hopefully additional changes (body cams, different training, alternative options to shooting people etc) can finish off the process.

So what do you think of an all female police force?

Try telling a homeless person that they choose to be homeless. I'm sure that'll go over well. However, by that reasoning, you could point out that people in prison have the ability to escape... not to mention they have the ability to legally secure their release through appeal or exoneration.

I 100% agree with Skardavnelnate.

And there is a huge diff between being homeless and being put in prison.

I was homeless at 16 when my mother kicked me out after I graduated (on my birthday btw).

I didn't HAVE to be homeless though, I had friends etc and could have asked to live with them. I had a scholarship I could have used as well (but I thought school was a waste). I did rent a storage locker, and used that a bit like a home (storing stuff there) but I lived on rooftops for a year, and was very anti-social (I mean more then I normally am hehe). I only stopped because my uncle had a wedding that that snapped me out of my hermit stage.

Homeless people can in generally stop being homeless if they want to, but part of being homeless can be the freedom, no need to work a job, no ties to a specific place etc. It's actually the OPPOSITE of being in jail, because to some degree in order to not be homeless, you have to tie yourself down to a job etc, and are basically forced to do things. It's very hard to be truly free, and maintain a home etc in todays world (although having your own job/buisiness etc can help with that).

If your homeless, you can travel anywhere, and sleep anywhere, you can explore new places, go out into nature, and just enjoy life.

If your in jail, your caged, have no control over your own life, are forced to live with ...well criminals (mostly..there are innocent people in there), and must spend huge amounts of time with nothing to do etc.

Caging an animal or a human is horrible, and yes, to some degree I consider it worse to do so then to actually kill (either of them). While i'm not saying just kill all criminals or people who are convicted, I do suggest that the option to be put to death for anyone with more than a 2 year sentence should be given.

If we improved the jails, and had real communities (that were enclosed and guarded) for people to live mostly normal lives in (just without access to the general public) that might be different. With the current state of most prisons though......it's extremely inhumane to force people to live in there for long periods of time.

The problem was being to work conscious. I'm not saying do anything to get you fired. But bring something to entertain yourself. Like how you said you never brought a book. Bringing one would have made it better. I know a girl who I worked with shortly who was always currently reading. Me, I bring games and my phone to work. So, I always have something to do. I can read stuff on my phone, or play a game to pass the time. Watch some videos or something. I don't mind doing what I would do at home while I'm at work. People have even invited their significant others there...

Yeah, this was pre-2000 so not a ton of options for portable games (think nintendo had one back then), but it was mainly me just being work concious like you said. Also I was in the military (not that many years before) and your kinda expected to wait alot (especially when I was working as a courier for awhile), and certainly not allowed to read etc while reading.

Now of course that has changed and people literally look for jobs like that so they can game/read etc. Seriously no joke I pretty much wanted to off myself because that job was killing me. I am, and have never been, good at just sitting around doing nothing. It's why I decided to leave the AF in fact after the gulf war ended. I left and immediatly went to a vocational school to become an electronic tech (9 months, 8 hours a day m-f) while working graveyard at Carl's Jnr (40 hours a week). Was much more work/effort than the military, but I was constantly busy (also 50% off the food at Carl's Jnr!!).

It's why I also hate jails, I consider being stuck in a cell the ultimate torture and would rather die than ever be put in such a situation even for a few months. It's made the last 6 months not fun at all as well, even though I have games/tv shows and movies, and books to read. It could be worse, but it's still not a ton of options and I do get bored doing the same things day after day.

I have a friend who is a liberal/demo who is considering voting for Trump because he wants the world to end.

I'm voting for Biden but not happy about it. Maybe his VP will be cool though.

I'd rather just vote a cat into office at this point and just do that from now on. Cats are cute, everyone likes them, and the other countries won't hate us because of our cat leader. I would SO watch any public addresses by a cat, and if our cat president does anything stupid, well it's ok if it's a cat.

I'm currently about to start steamworld dig 2 (just finished 1 for the 3rd time) and when that is done (probably tomorrow) I plan on replaying rogue legacy (and finishing it for the 3rd time, though I have played itmore times than that) to get me ready for the new release.

I'm not gonna play it into the ground though, just play a bit now (kinda like what I did with hades etc), and then wait for the full release.

I have like freaking 4-5 games like that currently, that I own but are not done yet, so are on a back burner till they finish.

I feel like that would be a good thing. No costumers means getting paid to do basically nothing. Depending on the store and how they were paid. If commission, then fuck that. But wage or salary, Im good...

Worst job I ever had, and I worked under the table for most of my childhood, was working for Sears selling TVs in Vancouver WA. We had just moved there so it was the best job I could get on short notice, and it was commision based, with draw.

NOBODY bought TVs at that sears because it was 10 minutes to cross the bridge to portland OR and have no sales tax (and we have very high sales tax here in WA). The other guy who worked there was a serious alcoholic (We actually gave him all my wife's old alcohol cause I didn't drink and she stopped).

I would just stand around all day, and even if I ever did get a sale, we were in draw so we still just got min wage. Sadly back then I didn't think about bringing a book with me to work or something to do, and just stood around like a moron (I was very work concious and would not do something like that on a job back then).

I eventually had us move back to Hayward CA and transfered to a Sears there, which was very busy and I was making over $20 an hour (And this was over 20 years ago), on commission. That was WAY better.

God that job sucked though. I SUCK at standing around doing nothing. I would rather work a job for $10 an hour that kept me busy, over a job that paid $20 an hour and I had to just freaking stand around.

Also, in general if you have not worked somewhere for along time, you can just totally ignore it in the future, not adding it to your resume etc, so getting fired really doesn't matter that much in such cases. If your working at say oh.....mc donalds, and you get fired after 3 weeks, it's basically like it never happened if you want it that way.

To make it even easier to deal with situations like that, you can run your own job/buisiness on the side, even just mowing laws, or repairing computers etc, and then use that on your resume to fill in times when you were not working, or you got fired from a job you don't wanna claim on your resume.

If there is something really bad about the job, say the manager/owner screwed you over etc, then you should just leave. I didn't when I was young, I still gave more than a month notice and trained a replacement. I was too freaking nice.

Otherwise, just let them know your giving your two weeks but really don't wanna work there anymore and would be happy if they replaced you sooner. Often they can hire someone within a few days if they try, and most places don't want someone working for them that doesn't wanna be there.

I still would say give at least two weeks for any normal job that doesn't screw you over etc, if at all possible. It's the right thing to do, even if you don't like the job at all.

Yeah I remember those, snake in the grass, wolf in the fold etc. Those were good. I liked the river of the dancing gods books as well. Quite a few of his books were a total trip for pre-pubescent me lol. I'm surprised I ended up fairly normal considering some of the stuff I read as a kid.

I've re-read the river of the dancing gods within the last decade, but that is about it. They made some new Well books I think a decade or two ago, and I did read those as well. Also re-read the first 2 books in the Xanth series but stopped before Castle Rogna. So many books to read that I'm behind on at this point and I barely read since my eyesight is so bad I can't even use my kindle anymore. I basically have to read on my large 4k tv (that I use as a monitor) and well, I generally just watch a movie or play a game instead at this point.

I used to love to read so much, but once I stopped being able to read paperbacks anymore, that seemed to mostly end.

I won't even consider dating a much younger girl as a dude, I really doubt i'd do it as a chick.
What is an older dude who dates young chicks called anyway, or are there only negative terms for that?

Anyway, if I was gonna be a chick, I would wanna be a young/pretty (also cute) chick for sure. I'd also wanna be a fem girl (not like a tomboy etc), and totally wouldn't wanna be like a manly girl. If I was gonna be manly, I'd just stay as a man.

Actually I have always liked being appreciated, I like doing things for my partner etc, and I want to be wanted etc. That wouldn't really change if my gender changed. In many ways my personality would have fit with a more feminine body tbh, but well, I'm an ogre, i'm not feminine at all, and I find cute women attractive (not into huge boobs, or overly sexual looks etc).

Given the option to change my body though, I don't know what gender I would actually choose to say as. I did love playing sports when younger, and my size/strength was sure useful at times in the past, but I could have had far more freedom to interact with my students if I was female, and I think what I look for in a relationship would have been much easier to find as a woman as well.

But none of it matters anyway because A: we can't actually change gender at will and B: I'm to old for it to matter at this point even if they suddenly came up with the technology that let you walk thorugh a door and be the opposite gender as often as you wanted.

It's more like the opposite of the book.

The movie basically takes every theme, concept, and moral of the book and sort of argues the exact counter opposite of it via hyper-excessive satire. It's basically like Verhoeven read the book, and then hated it so much he made the movie solely to shit on the book and everyone who actually liked it. It's kind of like the Colbert Report of its era.

And then half the people who watched the movie completely missed the satire and took it at face value, which sort of took it all the way back around again.

Yeah, honestly i'm lucky I even remember reading it anymore, I do remember vaguely he was jumping around on asteroids all by himself, and I think he was pretty much alone/solo for most of the book. I'm surprised I even remember that with my memory these days.

Glad to see others that have read it though!!:)

I know there was edgar rice burroughs back then, I think Piers Anthony had started his Xanth books as well, there was the Melnaborne books by moorcok, I think Jack Chalker had done Midnight at the well of souls, the conan books were out already, asimov also had stuff as well. By the early 80's things had exploded, you had so many series by then I was in heaven and pretty much never ran out of books again (I read a book a day till I got married at 27). The 70's though were doubly hard, as I was young and not working yet (started around 9 in 4th grade (Which I skipped lol, just didn't go to school for a year cause I found it boring, and worked instead). Before that I was completely reliant on libraries though, which were very hit or miss for sci-fi/fantasy books.

Starship Troopers is a military science fiction novel by American writer Robert A. Heinlein. Written in a few weeks in reaction to the U.S. suspending nuclear tests, the story was first published as a two-part serial in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction as Starship Soldier, and published as a book by G. P.Pages: 263 (paperback edition)
Publisher: G. P. Putnam's Sons
Author: Robert A. Heinlein
Publication date: November 5, 1959

It was before most of the posters on here's time, although hopefully many of you at least read things like STranger in a strange land and The moon is a harsh mistress etc. Heinlein was amazing when I was a young kid, it was really hard to find science fiction books to read.

So many Heinlein fans were seriously dissapointed by it. It's NOTHING like the original book.

I have not read the book in over 40 years though, so I just like the movie, but I did really like the book. Back in the early 70's there wasn't that many options for science fiction, you had Asimov and Heinlein and a few others but that was it. They kinda totally ignored the book for the movie, and I think that was one of the first times it had ever been done to that extent.

I really need to go back and read some of his stuff again, although i'm sure alot hasn't aged well. I have re-read Stranger in a strange land at least a few times over the decades, but even that has been maybe even 20 years since I read it last.

If I could change at will that would be hella cool though, especially if there was no chance of getting preggers, and also I was like hot as either one (i'm pretty good looking as a guy if i'm actually trying at all).

It would need to be magic though because I'd be some kinda female body builder/amazonian or something if I just switched to a 6"1 female who is 220 in perfect shape.

But yeah, being able to switch would be sweet, but well, I also would need to be younger lol, not much use for it post 50 honestly.

So like in my 20's or something, would be awesome.

I still don't know if I'd do a dude if I could switch though, it would depend if what I find attractive changed as well. I know for a fact I could find chicks who would enjoy playing with me, so if I still found chicks attractive i'd go with that.

But who knows, I would prob experiment anyway, even if I haven't had the same idea with expirimenting with guys as well a guy lol. It would be diff if I was a girl though. The primary method of getting off is kinda made for a guy organ...so even if I wasn't naturally turned on by guys, I think maybe I would try a 3 way setup or something with a lesbian friend and a dude for instance.

Pretty hard to make sure only people that need the money get it. I mean I guess they could setup some sort of government office people could go to temporarily for assistance but we already have stuff like Welfare which is meant to do that.

For the rent, some form of rental history would be needed. Sadly alot of people pay with cash, and don't even get receipts, and also many renters take that money under the table and don't claim it. Those people would be in trouble sadly as they couldn't prove the rent, and the program wouldn't help them.

Otherwise a rental history would show your rent, and you could submit that and have it covered till the pandemic was over (or submit it and have the money go towards the owners taxes/mortgage etc basically).

As far as food, I'd just straight out do food cards or even numbers for everyone who has a SS# and needs/wants it. Since the gov actually pays farmers to destroy crops etc, it would probably cost very little to provide people food assistance over all. Also the amount would not need to be THAT much for people to live well enough, say $50 a week per person (including kids/dependants though). The gov could easily handle that for everyone that needed it (and even the few who took advantage that didn't actually really need it).

Between the two programs MOST people who are struggling would be taken care of. Those who are homeless would have another program they could use (perhaps work in combo with hotels etc for temp housing). Those who were getting by under the table etc, and not paying rent with checks/cash ap/venmo etc, would have the most difficulty, but even they could probably work things out with their current landlord to start doing things over the table, and have the gov directly pay the landlords mortgage or reduce the property taxes etc.

It's not a perfect solution, but it would cost WAY less then giving each american $1200 again, and it would probably we FAR more effective.

My wife was very against the death penalty and did death penalty defense for years before we got married,

I on the other hand consider a long prison sentence worse than the death penalty and inhumane. I am pro-death penalty if the person is guilty of a crime that prevents it from being safe for them to ever rejoin society (with extremely solid evidence they commited it) or if the person has a prison sentence of more than 2 years and desires death instead.

I also personally think we should not have "prisons" but instead secured societies (in places like Arizona etc..where there isn't already a town etc), that people who are not safe to let out into society can live mostly normal lives, while being guarded and prevented from escaping. The REAL prisons (like what we have now) would be restricted to those prisoners who escape fro the societies as they would have proven themselves a security risk (and they would have the option of death instead of being kept in a cage).

Are you a chick?
Are you cute?
Do you like science fiction and fantasy, geek like stuff etc?
Do you not currently have a relationship with someone (romantic)?
Are you old enough to be legal?

Depending on those answers, probably.

more stimulus checks

This has been talked about a few times, but it's looking like if they do happen, it won't happen before the deadline currently in effect, unless things change really quickly.

I really don't think more stimulus checks are going to help, they need to use the money in a more direct way in my opinion, perhaps to directly pay peoples rent, get them food, etc. The shear amount of money being used for the stimulus checks is insane, and a small portion of that could probably help just those people who are struggling to pay rent and get food until things get better. Don't get me wrong, I'd love an extra $1200 or whatever, but I'd rather see the people who really need it get the money.

My wife loved chocolate covered strawberries but she was diabetic, so couldn't have them often.

I don't like rasberries or blueberries at all. I did used to like fresh blackberries off the vine, although the ones in stores usually taste acidic/toxic, I think they spray them with something.

As a kid I would search for blackberry vines though, walnut trees etc, even in San Francisco they were around (well the trees at least). Great supplimental foods.

So it's been in the news alot lately, the eviction apocalypse or something like that. At the end of this month the restriction on evictions ends for most states. Supposedly alot of people (they had some absurd number) have not been paying rent, and so will either have to pay or get evicted (which can take awhile in some states, but might mean as early as the first few weeks of August for some).

I know not one person who didn't pay rent personally, so I find this kinda strange. I'm curious if anyone on here actually knows someone who has been living in an apartment/room etc and not paying rent for a few months etc.

It does seem to me like this is certainly not a good time to be kicking large numbers of people out on the street if there really have been quite a few that have not paid rent. I don't know what the solution is, but I think one possible solution is to give the renters a tax break, and possibly suspend mortgage payments for a bit, in return for forgiving past rent and allowing tenants to stay until a safer time.

I get that the owners have costs as well, and this could be exceedingly bad if they have actually been paying for utilities etc, that they have not been re-imbursed for by the tenants. It's not fair to put all the cost on them, but at the same time if people have not been able to work, and for some reason couldn't get unemployment (not sure why that would be with the extreme lax requirements for the PUA though), just throwing em out on the street during the highest period of the virus spreading, seems insane.

So do you know anyone? Do you have any suggestions as to what we should do as a nation about this? If they numbers the news quoted are true, we would have by far the largest homeless population this country has ever seen in the next few months.

The only 2 people who I can probably identify by their picture on here, even though I have seen the pictures many times over the years, are Jen and RC, and that is only because they are pretty much the only female pictures I have seen on here, and they look fairly different from each other.

Oh, and my own, luckily I can still identify my own face.

Other than that, I MIGHT guess Linkpizza correctly (cause I vaguely remember what he looks like) but if there are other fairly young black dudes on here and I had to choose from a bunch of pics, probably not.

I certainly wouldn't be able to identify ICYOR or whatever his name is.

All of my relatives arrived here within 4 generations pretty much. My mothers side of the family is pure Italian, with my great grandfather coming over (and great grandmother).

My fathers (he whom I do not know), was about 50% English (From Kirkham england) and 25% Irish, along with a bunch of stuff from all over europe (german etc). He was born in England and came over here (I might actually be able to get english citizenship in theory).
