A Hat In Time truly does capture the feeling of N64 platformers and they actually put effort into the controls for the actual fucking platforming being good and the levels actually have soul and detail and characters that belong to the theme and arent just the same generic enemies copied and pasted. Yooka-Laylee is more polished and optimized for the Switch with better graphics (and not even by a whole lot), but A Hat In Time is better at everything else. --- |

Being good is still just as hard, you just save the time spent on learning each characters individual controls. I learned how to play Smash/DBFZ in 5 seconds but ill NEVER be as good as these dudes online whove mastered the strategy/timing side of it. I just think its good game design to make the player able to fully use every character immediately. --- |

If we shouldnt put them to death, what should we do with them? What kind of quality of life should they have? Whats cruel and unusual punishment and whats an acceptable consequence?
