| AlisLandale 04/25/20 10:51:59 PM #5 | The best gimmick is from the recent movie, where you paid life points to summon monsters with more attack points. the reason its the best is that it showcased how pointless life points actually are, as the mechanic was largely ignored the entire movie as players just summoned their most powerful monsters without any care for the cost. <_> ... but on topic I like the Deck Masters the best out of all of these. The more recent variants are just kind of unimpressive. Action Duels werent exciting because the main deck is already a stack of plot devices in these shows. idk about speed spell duels tho. I never watched 5Ds. --- |

(Muh Pendulums) It seems like a decent enough card though. In ideal conditions you go +1 and get a free summon, and in sub optimal conditions you still get a free summon or new resource. Even with the worst outcome, where youll go -1, deck thinning can be useful, especially if youre hoping to dig some more monsters out quickly. (I cant think if any s/ts benefit from being banished. Maybe one day lol) --- |

| AlisLandale 04/24/20 8:56:36 PM #4 | This would have been a bad card even in early YuGiOh tbh. The most common dice roll for 2d6 is a 7, which puts it well below average among vanilla beaters. Not being able to be special summoned means that even if its stats were good, you couldnt E-tele it, and its incompatible with a lot of psychic support. Level 3 is kind of ok? But again, it cant be specialed and its not a tuner. Duncan, I highly suggest downloading YgoPro or Project Ignis and getting your feet wet in modern YuGiOh. Itll be really difficult at first, but you seem to have a really outdated understanding of the game and most of your cards are either really weak or overbalanced. the name is cute though. Mystery meat lol. --- |

I also want to start my first Ultraman series, looking through recommendations on that. Ultraman Mebius is really good for something semi-modern and traditional. Nexus is an oddity in thats its really dark and serialized. Very good, but it was cancelled prematurely and it rushed its final arc across like, three episodes. You could start with it, just know there really isnt another series like it. For something more classic, you cant really go wrong with Ultraman (OG) or Ultraseven. The former if you want something closer to kaiju movies, the latter if youre more into general sci-fi. I dont have any experience with the new generation, but Taiga (which finished this year) I ended up really liking. Just know that to get the full experience, you might want to check out the voice dramas that were released in tandem with the series. --- |
