I don't recall anyone saying that about travellers. People have said to avoid travellers from China from the beginning.

They were calling racist the people avoiding Chinese restaurants and Asian people walking by they assumed were Chinese.

First, there is no way to guarantee they are even Chinese to begin with. Second, even if they are, it is racist to assume they have been to China or even have ties to China.

Second, Chinese restaurants are about as American as any other restaurant. They don't import food from China. Avoiding them is just paranoia.

Most trailers I saw for it made the movie look painfully generic.

There was only one trailer I saw that made the movie more interesting, and it was when they revealed their dead father. At that point I figured that movie would have a pulling-heart-strings kind of plot. Still not sure if I want to see it though or wait until it hits streaming.

I even want to complain about stuff like how they gave the villain henchmen a happy ending even though they really didn't deserve it but again the narrator warns that this is not one of those happy tales, so I just have to take it.
For real. The fact that the henchmen got happy endings while some of the nicest people got horrible endings (the librarian's being by far the worse, and with an audience to boot) really pissed me off.

But again, I was warned repeatedly about it, and I didnt listen. <_<

Most people who are poor have been poor for many generations. It's much harder to get out of that situation when you have little to start with. The people who come from middle class families and end up poor are usually due to bad choices or bad luck. Some drug addicts who end up homeless actually were brought up in decent households.
This. There is a combination of effort and luck involved.

I grew up dirt poor and it took me 30 years to move up to middle class. I did all things "right" to move up the economic ladder but it also took some luck to get there. For example, one of the well-paying jobs I received I got because I shared the same first name as my supervisor. My qualifications and hard work got me the interview, but when it came down to me and one other person, my name is what gave me the edge (according to my supervisor). It's things like that you cannot control. That would have made the difference between making a crapton more money or being unemployed.

The ability to overcome poorness depends on many luck factors, like getting into the school you want, getting the job you applied for, or simply just not getting sick or having your car break down at a crucial point in your job.

It's interesting, because for every nefarious adult that had an actually "evil" plan like enslavement or brainwashing, many adults were just doing parent things like making their kids go to school or eat their vegetables. Then the KND would blow it out of proportion and turn it into a battle.

Though the funniest episode to me was when the boys discovered a girl's bra and couldn't figure out what it was for, thinking it was "Battle-Ready Armor". Then, when confronted and asked what a bra was for, Numbah 5' older sister was stuttering and hesitating trying to explain its use to a bunch of 10yo boys.

Then it turns out it really was battle-ready armor.

Wanted to do 255 today and climb my way back up in future workouts, but nah man. My body needs a rest. Back has been feeling kind of shitty, too, so I'll let it heal for a couple days.
It's important to take a break and not overdo it.

As long as this does not become a recurring habit, it is fine to rest when you need it.

My wife just got a new job and had to move 4 hours away. We're pretty much living apart until I get a job in the area (however long that takes). It sucks overall, but on the bright side I'll have more free time to workout.

I just got off a long medical procedure so I need to work off the pounds I've gained during it. Last week I was at 224. Started running and have lost 2 pounds so far to 222, though I imagine it's water weight.

Gonna be running 6 days a week with strength workouts thrown in between. Will occasionally post updates if I remember to.

I'm doing this this year.

It varies by state, but in Florida, you go online and find your voter information and request the mail-in ballot. You can have them send it to your registered address or choose a different address to send it to. It usually arrives pretty quickly, within 3-5 days. You follow the instructions on the ballot and then mail it back. The postage was also pre-paid.

I'm part of the minority that liked 2's system best.

Prime 1 was okay, but I never found myself using the power beam later in the game unless it was for beating a power beam pirate or to use the super missile. The other beams outclassed it and made it useless.

Prime 2 made the power beam useful the whole game as it was the only beam with unlimited ammo. The other three beams, while needing ammo, were also much more powerful in comparison. The nova beam dealt ridiculous damage, making the double ammo use worth it.

Between the two games, I found myself naturally balancing my use of the four beams in Prime 2 more often than Prime 1.

Many staffers are paid, particularly those that organize the volunteers. Marketing is also expensive.

Consider yard signs, t shirts, travel to rallies, security detail, and that's not even getting to expensive TV ads and internet ads.

I enjoyed the movie stylistically, but plotwise it just took me out of the immersion when the fight scenes happened since they had no consequence. Since we knew from the beginning the action scenes were all in her head, and nothing in the fantasy world had any effect in the real world, it just kept me from being invested.

I would have enjoyed the movie more if there was some link between the fantasy world and the real world and one affected the other in a significant way (i.e. the fantasy world was a real place).

As it stands, I enjoyed the real-world parts more because there was more tension since there were actual stakes there.

I believe the Pokemon games do this a few times.

There's of course the blatant ones like the Game Freak developers talking about the game, so it doesn't count per TC's specifications.

A good example typically involves a character mentioning how you get a specific item or other reward for having played/beat a previous game in the series. A good example is in Pokemon Sword/Shield where a character gives you either an Eevee or Pikachu if you have a save file for Let's Go Eevee or Pikachu, but says it in a way where she doesn't quite understand what she's saying. I don't remember the exact words, but she says something like "you can only have this pokemon if you have a special bond with it from a previous adventure" or something like that.
