Well, Hawaii for one, then I'd probably check out the Bay Area/San Fran (not just san fran though tons of awesome stuff there).

Malibu is nice and near LA , some decent places around there and Santa Cruz is pretty good, that mostly takes care of CA.

Nothing has knocked my socks off in Oregon or Washington personally, so i'd probably skip it.

I'd also agree to skipping Florida all together unless you wanna visit disney world or something. The beaches are ok but meh over all.

Consider traveling outside the US? Mexico was awesome but have not been in 30+ years. Europe would be insane, try Dublin at least. I'd head on over to Japan if I had the money as well, not to live, but to visit would be nice.

Normally I'd say give Australia a shot even though it's a LOOOONG trip, but yeah, not right now, also avoid Europe in the summer at this point.

Not a fan of Russia or Germany either personally but many people love visiting (my wife studied in Russia for a year in fact).

If you have not been to Nevada, you could try Vegas/Reno and maybe swing by Burning man, if you can get in, and if it's not just too comercial now (I went when it first started).

Buncha other options but that is all I can think of off the top of my head.

I was 6"1 and 240 when I got it, the meds (gyberide specifically) caused me to gain 20 pounds but still barely showed at all (just a bit in my tummy). Was quite capable of hiking/jogging/playing tennis etc all day.

So yeah, you can be in shape and still get it.

I'm a bear btw, I know to most people 240 sounds like alot, but I'm about in perfect shape at 220 (that was my weight when I came in 3rd out of 500 people who tried out for the special forces at Lackland AF base.

Safeways "which in most parts of the US I think" have delivered groceries for over a decade now.

Often you can even get them delivered for free, or something like $3 depending on how much your buying or a special they have. Heck in some instances they give you money to have them delivered lol.

Crab was....a few years ago at least, extremely expensive everywhere on the west coast. I'm not sure if it's just cheaper right now, or if the price has dropped over all in the last few years. I thought, before moving to WA, that crab would be cheaper here, since it's closer to Alaska (makes sense right?) but instead it was actually MORE expensive.

In Gilroy/San Jose CA Alasakan King Crab legs where $19 a pound when not on sale, when I moved to Olympia WA they were $24 a pound!!

I didn't check the price when moving to Tacoma since it's so close, but I happened to see today that the legs were only $13 a pound...and it wasn't even marked on sale.

I went to red robin for lunch cause I was craving a burger but it's wasn't nearly as good as the sizzler burger I had last week, so big missake. It's been like 6 hours now, so I'm probably gonna make some fast pasta soon. I have now become even more lazy (so the pasta is even faster). I now use my instant pot for 1 minute (takes about 5 total to get up to pressure), to make the pasta, then microwave the ragu meat sauce (use half a jar) and pour it on top.

Before doing that I use aluminum foil to line the bowl, and when I pour the pasta in, I add garlic poweder and pepper, and then a decent amount of grated parm cheese.

When I'm done eating all I have to clean is the spoon or fork.

I was at safeway today and shocked to see crab legs were only $13 a pound (alaskan king crab legs).

I didn't get any today (the lines there were crazy), but I may go back tomorrow and get some along with some rib eye steaks.

Last time I checked they were charging like 24$ a pound for em. $13 means you could get 2 1/2 pounds for the price of a all you can eat crab buffet:)

Well I checked, and yes the queen sized matress I got is 80 inches, so I was like....whaaaaaat?

But then I layed down and I realized a few things.

First I like to sleep with my feet pointing down. My feet are just about a foot long.

Second I sleep with my head on my arms (with a pillow in between), which takes up about 4 inches above my head from the edge of the matress.

So when I lay down, to fit on the bed I need to scrunch up a bit, which I can do when I am awake without problem, but if I'm asleep I stretch out, and my feet fall off the end, which is uncomfortable.

So that solves the mystery.

I've been 6'1 most of my life and I needed one to be comfortable.I'm 6 now and on a normal queen and my feet hang off. I actually set up a chair at the end with a pillow etc on it so it's not so uncomfortable.

What's up with people covering up the taste of lobster with butter? I didn't know about that until I grew older, because Korean people actually like the taste of lobster, not butter.

I prefer good crab over lobster personally, but to me butter adds to the flavor of both, it doesn't cover it up though (if it's good), if it's not then you need the butter bad lol.

My favorite racing game of all time, over top gear 2 etc, original Grand Turino etc. It's free online now, but the controls go wacky every so often (no longer have my 64 system...I still had it and waveracer before I lost my house).

Loved the feel of the waves in that game, it was so realistic, even now it still is.

I played pong on 2 systems actually, the first....was intellivision or something like that, and I think it was one of the games first released with the atari. The first system ONLY had pong though.

The atari of course had a ton of other games, like metroidvania (so fun) and KAboom!! (used a round paddle controller to move back and forth).

I actually coded games back in the day (I was in elementary school). I made a brick out like game, a dinosaur racing game and a ufo maze game (on an Apple II at school). There were not many games back then so I made my own (I learned how from Logo).

I'm old, I doubt I'll actually see a moderate progressive run for president with an actual chance to win. I think it's REALLY sad that we never have even one president both sides can get behind. We need someone like that big time, so things that are really important can get done, and neither side will try to block them so they are not a feather in the oppositions cap.

Nobody seems to believe this or see this or care I guess. Half the nation thinks trump is making America great gain (he is not, almost nothing positive has happened in 4 years in my opinion), and the other half is pushing for presidents so far left it will make it far more likely that Trump will get re-elected.

The obvious solution (to me) would be to have someone who is not as far left, more moderate, run as the democratic president, someone that can get people from both sides to vote for him (both in the election and later in congress). This could actually set us up for a very positive 4-8 years while we actually build our infrostructure and get a bunch of things EVERYONE can agree on passed.

Heck even things like health care and education could be at least slightly fixed, so they are not so skewed without just flat out forgiving student loans etc (which is great, but not likely to actually pass). Health care for instance doesn't need to be socialized nearly as much as the price for everything needs to be curtailed and restricted. Nobody should be making billions off the health care industry in this country.

All of that could be done with someone who is moderate, but we never even get a real chance to vote for someone like that.

World is great as well, I couldn't choose between them, but I loved 64 A TON, and have replayed that on my DS etc recently.

3 is great, world is great, but Super Mario 64 changed the game. I didn't like either of the galaxy games (which were still very good mind you) as much as 64, nor the water one (forget it's name). The one on the Wii U with the cats was really dissapointing to me, and Odyssey just ended to fast (although I didn't get all the moons)....but most importantly was just waaay too easy (none of the boss fights even made me try).

So yeah, if I take the games as a whole, I'm gonna give my favorite to 64 because I have replayed it the most, and love it so much.

I know it's legal in some states, and I have friends who have tried to argue that it is ok for people who are 50 (ie me) to date girls in their 20s, lol, but honestly it just seems wrong. Be friends with em sure, but date etc? I guess it depends on the people involved, but in general I just don't see it making sense.

And that is for someone who is a full adult and hopefully at least 21.

For those that think you just hard and pay for insurance and everything is fine, nope. My wife was an attorney and we had our own law firm, we had insurance as well.She got necrotizing facitice and blew through the 1 million total coverage within a few months at the hospital.

At which point the insurance gets to just throw their hands up and say tto bad so sad, and you can't get goverment subsidized health care till you have no assets.

So yeah, the system doesn't even work for those who have good insurance and work their whole lives. We worked so much in those 10 years after getting married that we never were able to take a vacation (we even had 3 years to go on a cruise but eventually had to give it away).

It's not universal healthcare etc that is a problem, it's the INSANE costs of any treatments or stays in the hospital here. You can blow through your insurance cap in no time depending on the hospital you end up at.

Then if you do eventually get on state health care, there are not enough hospitals and so people end up dead because they can't get treated. It's a horrid system, I'm pretty sure there are 3rd world countries with better health care then us.

Met this girl at the casino after having the buffet, gave her and her friend a ride and we chatted along the way. She gave me her number and told me to call sometime.

I texted her a few days ago and then yesterday asking if she would like to get together for the lobster buffet today. She responded she would love to. We set everything up, she texted me her address and I was going to pick her up at 1:30.

At 10 though, I noticed I was feeling a bit sick, nothing major, just sniffles and a head ache and a bit of an upset tummy. I texted her to let her know, stated I was still fine to go, but wanted to let her know in case she didn't want to chance catching what I got.

She texted back she was done playing games (we barely texted!), and to lose her number Adum (not my name...is that slang for something).

Oh well, if she can get upset that easily it was a good thing we didn't go on the date. I'm not really feeling that bad, but, certainly not well enough to enjoy a buffet lol, so I'm kinda glad not to have to go. Too bad though, I really don't know anyone in this area and having a new friend would have been nice, just probably not one that gets upset so easily.

It varies from state to state, but even so, it's generally not legal, unless you are in fear of bodily harm, and even then i'd hedge against it if you have any other options (call the police and leave etc).

This even includes animals, at least in most states (don't know if it's that way for all of them), so you can get in trouble for shooting a dog taking a crap on your yard etc.

So basically don't shoot someone unless you can prove they were threatening you, and even then, try and use a less lethal weapon unless they are also armed.

What's stupid is that it's usually better economically to have healthcare, even if "some people don't deserve it." I saw some news thing where this conservative mayor from some town in Canada was opposed to funding some homelessness campaign because he had to pull up his bootstraps, etc. But he was shown an economic model and tried it. The hobos were costing something like $100k/person annually in police and health services, but when given a basic safety net, the average costs went down to $30k/person annually. Yeah, it's not fair that they get handouts, but as a taxpayer would you rather have things "fair" and waste $70k in tax money for each hobo or "unfair" but with 2/3 more money to spend on infrastructure and other things that benefit you personally, not to mention a reduction in crime.

Costing the tax payer money (the poor in general) isn't really important if the current system actually makes the rich more wealthy, which is the case. Universal healthcare, or even health care that charges a fair amount, would cost the rich billions so it's not going to happen. The poor don't matter, only the wealthy who have the power do, and ttis is great for them. Who cares if people die in the process or go to jail.

Healthcare is the #5 biggest industry in the US: Making over a billion a year off sick people. You don't need to make it free or go full socialism (although it's not a bad thing honestly for healthcare in my opinion), but you should regulate it so you don't get so many billionares making a profit from the sick. Same with Education (also up there), don't need to have it be so profitable, charge for the services, but regulate how much.

Hi ya'll. I'm going on a cruise next sept with my uncle and his friend. We are leaving out of Vancouver BC (I gotta get a passport!!) and flying back from Hawaii. Planning on staying in Hawaii 5 extra days after the cruise ends though.

Currently looking into AB&B's in the area as it seems like there are many where you rent a whole apartment thing for $100 or so a night (so $33 each) which seems like a better deal then the hotels.

This is seeming like a very dangerous trip lol cause every month something new that we are doing has a deadly article in the news. We are doing the helicopter ride over the valcano (just crashed last month), and now there is the whole coronavirus thing on the cruise in Japan.

Oh well, you only live once or Yolo as they say.

Anyway it's looking like we are gonna be kickin in in Honolulu for 6 days (5 nights) so any coolie suggestions on things to do (that are not freaking $300 like the submarine ride or the helicopter ride) would be great. My uncle scheduled a Luai (party on the beach, dancers, roasted pig all that stuff), a heli ride over the valcano (I may jump in) and a sub ride already (those are all on days we are there with the cruise ship).

I'm looking for things that are fun but not super expensive. I especially really like waterfalls so I will probably search some out at least one day.

Also, if you know me at all, I have posted here since the dawn of gamefaqs, I love food, so any great food suggestions or places to eat...would be greatly appreciated. Food is life for me, I have in general, prefered good food to good sex most of my life (and I have had very good sex and food mind you heh). A good video game is almost up there with good food though.

Totally plan on bringing my laptop with steam games, ps4/vr,3ds and I'll probably have a switch by then if they every have a good special on them...so i'll have generic gaming handled, along with a kindle for tons of books to read.

I like video games, some board games, water/water falls, beaches, Anime, Cosplay, Table tennis, Water parks (slides etc..just call me nepolian only like, supersized), comedy, some plays (not as much now that I'm not married though). I don't do bars, and don't drink alcohol.

May be my last big trip so I want it to be really fun (please no coronovirus, please no coronovirus!!).
