Agree with Axem on Mike and Leatherface.

For Apu I will say Mid Fodder. He hasn't been explicitly cancelled, and the controversy with his character has kept him relevant for the past few years despite his diminished role in the show. He is still a prominent character from the show's heyday with appearances in some games, and has the association with the popular Kwik-E-Mart to fall back on.

Samwise is one of the better-liked LOTR characters from what I've seen - being the earnest companion of Frodo who saves his ass a dozen times over. I think he's High Fodder despite lacking the "cool" factor of characters like Aragorn or Legolas.

Low Fodder for Scarlet Witch. The MCU version of her does not resemble her classic comic incarnation, and I'm pretty sure her match pic will feature her classic design. She might have TJF in her favor but I don't see Gfaqs caring enough.

Kevin I don't think is all that well-liked and the movies are pretty old now. Glover is a character that a lot of the Gfaqs demographic is likely familiar with, but I can't see him getting a ton of support. Boromir is somewhat obscure despite being an original member of the LOTR Fellowship, and is a divisive character among people who do know him.

Athena is close but ultimately I have to say Low Fodder. Ace Attorney simply has not looked good in the past few contests, with even Edgeworth looking quite weak in CBX. I'm sure there is some vote split to blame for neither of last decade's major AA releases making GOTD, but that fact definitely does not help Athena.

Mid Fodder (barely) for Ultros. He is a pretty memorable recurring boss character from FF6, and has had a good amount of reappearances in main and spin-off FF games.

I don't think YOU ARE A BOLD ONE is enough to get Grievious to mid fodder by itself. Part of me thinks he'd get a match pic showing off his four lightsabers and get the needed boost, but realistically his pic won't do enough. So I say Low Fodder.

Low Fodder for Andrew Ryan. Bioshock isn't nearly as relevant as it once was and while Ryan is praised for his role in the original game, he'll just look like generic mc-old dude in his match pic. Plus he is much better known for his VAing than his actual appearance.

Servbot got 25% on Mario once - in the literal first Gfaqs contest match ever. Now I think he'll be Low Fodder (but admittedly close to law). Servbot is pretty recognizable as a mascot-type character and some people should have nostalgia for the MM Legends games, which should be enough to stay at low.

Quicksilver I say is Low Fodder. He was in both the X-men franchise and MCU, but the only "good" movie included in those appearances is X-Men Days of Future Past. I haven't seen any of them, but I don't think Quicksilver is generally liked all that much overall. He was a jerk in X-Men Evolution, and I have a feeling he gets stereotyped as such in most of his other appearances.

Mid Fodder for The Thing. He's easily the most recognizable and well-liked F4 member, and was the only major character in the 2000s F4 movies who had an overall positive response.

Low Fodder for Tony Montana. Scarface is simply too old and the games Tony appeared in didn't make a big enough impact (nor his Payday 2 appearance).

Low Fodder for the Lizard. I think only first tier Spider-Man villains will really be worth much in a contest, and I don't think the Lizard is really there. Plus Lizard looked pretty goofy in Amazing Spider-man, his only movie appearance not counting Curt Connors in the Raimi trilogy. He'd have to be in an MCU movie to move up imo.

Oh uh! Also nominate Lemming.

I guess I will (barely) give Athena Mid Fodder. She had a major role in GoW2 and 3, and is one of the best-known Greek gods. She also wasn't nearly as much of a dick as the other gods in the series. Her cameo in GoW 2018 is quite memorable as well.

Low Fodder for Hades. He has an interesting design but that won't get him very far nowadays. Plus his only major appearance was in GoW3, despite the amount of time Kratos spends in the Underworld over the trilogy.

Low Fodder for King Dice but I think he is pretty close. Like the Devil a lot of players probably never made it to his boss fight, and while does have some presence in the game before that I don't think he stands out quite enough.

Low Fodder for Ecco. Being a dolphin is cool and all, but it can't keep Ecco out of this range when his last game was in 2000.

agree with Axem. Tyris probably only has TJF going for her, and I definitely don't see Gfaqs going for a Lego character. I was never into AVGN very much, but a joke character from that won't get support here.

also nominate Ecco for re-ranking. He might be a Genesis icon but the Ecco series has been dead for 20 years at this point, and there isn't really anything that stands out about Ecco other than "being a dolphin".

I will go with Low Fodder for all today. Drax is pretty close to being mid simply due to MCU popularity and having some incredibly memetic quips from Infinity War. He'll probably be mid once they start showing trailers for Guardians 3.

I don't know exactly how the SW fanbase feels about Padme, but the whole "dying of a broken heart" thing probably left a pretty negative last impression. And she was stuck in a terrible film trilogy to boot.

Eve might be close to mid since Gfaqs still seems to like Parasite Eve quite a bit, but the series is still pretty obscure and hasn't had a new game in 10 years. Plus she doesn't have TJF.

LAW Fodder for Mr. Driller. It was 2002, yes, but losing to SERIOUS SAM is forever.

Chin is LAW Fodder due to being a Bruce Lee clone from a joke of a game that most people won't know.

Starfy is Low Fodder. He was a Japan-only character for a long time and only has 1 game released in the US at this point. Luckily he is a cute dude and resembles a Luma, so I think he'll get some support and potentially be close to mid.

Yeah I think we're back to Low Fodder for all today.

As good as Cuphead looked in GOTD, I don't see the player 2 character Mugman being that strong. Though he is pretty close to being mid. Johnny Cash's music is generally too old to get him much support, and he'd likely be law if not for the popularity of his cover of Hurt. And Ephraim's game doesn't seem to be too popular, and he looks like a generic mcgreen-haired animedude.

Joey is Low Fodder because I'm not sure that enough people will recognize that he is the Top Percentage Rattata trainer. If they include a Rattata in his match pic he'll probably be mid but I don't see that happening.

Mufasa I will give Mid Fodder because his death was a notable fictional tragedy for a lot of the Gfaqs demographic as kids. He is also has a very recognizable design and voice, and is just a cool cat (heh) in general.

Low Fodder for the Devil. Even considering some players probably never even made it to his boss fight, I don't think he is liked well enough to have a lot of support. Though he could get some troll votes ala Satan depending on his match pic.

Mid Fodder for Skyla, and you know why. Two Large Reasons.

Low Fodder for Alex Kidd, though he's pretty close to law. Too old for most of Gfaqs to care about, but his history as the former mascot of Sega should get him some votes from oldies.

So Tekken 7 got completely wrecked by Smash Ultimate, but I'm not going to go all in on the series being worthless since it definitely got hit with fighting game LFF in that match. That said I think Kazuya ends up as Low Fodder for looking like generic mcjapanesedude, and for being absent from the most popular game in the series in Tekken 3.
