What if Netflix wants this to air in China? That would mean having to erase any Tibetan influence from the Air Nomads (similar to the Ancient One in Doctor Strange) since China will not acknowledge Tibet exists. Like so far, I've heard rumours that it's because they want to age up the characters so they can show them in a sexual light, or because the Netflix people want to shake up the formula and add in a love triangle and stuff, and the really loony fans are claiming that there might have been fallout because Netflix wants Katara to be with Zuko instead of Aang. Meh, it's probably better for the show to try to follow it's own narrative. If it just copies the cartoon scene-for-scene, then there's no point in making it. --- |
