But that said, this seems like an exclusively Star Wars problem. MCU for instance usually has somewhat powerful/intimidating villains. (Of course, Captain Marvel didn't really, either, but as much as I disliked the film there are legitimate thematic reasons to have Carol be OP and the villains joke-tier. Star Wars's weakness is that its villains were supposed to be threatening, and weren't. >_>) --- |

Most people seem to think it's just okay at best, but for five dollars you can't really go wrong. >_> So the primary gameplay is sneaking around a school avoiding a stalker/killer, solving puzzles to progress through the school and story. It can feel really fun, but there can also be times where you feel you're stuck just waiting for the killer to just leave as you're sitting under a desk or something. (There are ways to be more "active" in your avoidance, if you learn the quirks of the AI and how to abuse the map layout.) The story is pretty basic, but I really loved it. I'm a sucker for ghost stories and stuff like that. But where the game fails in its potential is its ghosts, oddly enough. You see, you can find clues throughout the school that can be used to solve puzzles and find ghosts, with each one being tied to a different story/legend that can also be found in the school via notes. Butttt....these are all mostly optional, and a bunch of them are exclusive to hard mode. In the actual game, besides a few boss fights, there are actually only two ghosts to worry about. It's a fun thing to get lost in if you care about 100%, but it's also not necessary for the true ending. The game is somewhat noteworthy as an urban legend, since there were rumors in the early 00s about a Korean game that was "too scary". (Though part of this is just second-hand tales of game testers not liking a certain jump scare the game can throw at you. But by modern standards that same jump scare is a bit quaint, lol.) The original version used to be distributed for free for a while by the devs, and if you can find it there's a fan translation. It's even more janky than the remake but it's got this kind of bizarre, spooky atmosphere that the modern graphics don't really replicate well. --- |

| AlisLandale 01/18/21 6:56:07 AM #1 | Finding a TM in Gen I/II was great. You find Bubble in the beginning of Mt Moon, right? And quite a few Normal type Pokmon you likely found by now can learn it. Its super useful if you started with Charmander and gives you coverage that the wild Pokmon in the area dont offer. Then you get to Gen 3 and the first TM you find is Bullet Seed. But...only Grass Pokemon learn it. And this is right after a forest where you can catch a Grass type Pokmon that starts with a grass type move, not to mention Lotad/Seedot in the earlier routes. >_> and as time went on it felt like the TMs were balanced for the end game rather than to be fun rewards you find during the campaign. So many tms are just filler support moves that serve no purpose outside of PvP, and the attack moves are mostly redundant. idk i just finished the Delta episode in Alpha Sapphire, and in about 20 TMs Ive only used like 3. >_> --- |
