If eliza really is a teen girl, I'm surprised at this point in time. Back in the 2000s, or even the 2010s, I wasn't surprised when somebody said they were a teen girl, but these days this board is pretty much all twenty and thirty somethings. It's within the bounds of possibility, though.

I remember tweekee bird, who used to post in maybe the middle of the last decade. She was pretty funny. The best part was when Tagd would annoy her, and call her tawkee bird. Good times.

the paywalls to access new worlds are unnecesarily high. The difficulty seems a little low, but I'm not THAT far into the game.

The really funny thing is how much of a blatant ripoff of Mario is it. You can see elements that are clearly ripped straight from 64, Sunshine and Galaxy 1. I mean, they didn't even try to hide this.

It does seem enjoyable, though. Some nice exploring and platforming, with at least some challenge in it. Graphics are varied. Some nice collection tasks. Has anyone actually played this?

If you ask me...political fanatics. Well. Probably. Their complete obsession with politics, even outside election years, genuinely disturbs me. Politics is important, yes, but it's not the be all and end all. People need to calm down. Life doesn't have to be entirely about politics, and thinking anyone who is on another part of the spectrum to you is either evil or crazy, well, that's just stupid.

So? Thoughts? And you just know some people are going to go insane over examples I've used. You just KNOW it.

I think I've done most of the main game. I've gotten stuck a few times, but always figured it out. I generally HATE Metroidvania games, there's something about all the exploring and backtracking that really confuses - and stresses - me. This is decent, though. The graphics are rather samey, and the challenge level could be a little higher, but this is a cool game. It's a shame that this game was largely ignored upon release, I believe. I know that's the fate of many indie games, but still.

It's not disappeared here, but it's certainly slowed down, due to a combination of social distancing, wearing masks, the previous lockdowns, and so on.

Splatoon 2. I know this is heavily orientated towards multi-player, and I'm more of a single-player kind of game, but I still wanted to play it. The gameplay is fun, with a clever combination of analogue stick control and motion sensing controls, which I hadn't been aware of. Also, the graphics are better than I thought they would be. I knew they were colourful, but they're also detailed, and run at 60 FPS. I've only briefly played some of the campaign, but it seems challenging and well designed. The ideas behind the game are, well. Different.

Seems like a good series.

I can just imagine the pitch meeting. The guy says that it's a side-scrolling Metroidvania game, but it also has strong pinball elements, and the main character is a little bug attacked to a giant white ball. And everyone is just like WTF, but then, after some consideration, the game gets greenlighted.

I have several hours in it, but it does appear to be good fun. There's something very enjoyable about the pinball-style gameplay, and the exploration, although confusing, is good. The graphics are really nice, too, flat but in a really sophisticated way. Not much variety, but every so often they will be different...I just arrived at a snowy area. The game is smooth and interesting to play.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

His moveset is really helpful, from different angle projectiles to his headstomp, and he's also quick and reasonably strong.

I think he had a lot of good ideas. The concept of peak experiences, although probably around for thousands of years, was described and articulated well, and was pretty accurate. His hierarchy of needs is very legitimate, and interesting. I also like how he was one of the first researchers to focus on the positive aspects of pscyhology, as opposed to the negative aspects of it, like most before him had. In terms of the importance of pyschologists, I wouldn't say he's on the same level as Freud, Jung, or maybe Pavlov, but he's still probably quite important.

The last mainline release was Sonic Mania, three years ago. Of course, we had Team Sonic Racing last year, which I thought was pretty good, but just a spinoff (so to speak). I think cities are the best. Medium sized cities. Think a population of something like one million. Nice, sprawling city to explore, but not so big it's really scary and horrible. Sadly, I live in a large town that feels like a small town.

Bristol, UK.

Someone I know took me. It was a lot of fun. I live in the general area, so it's not the first time I've ever been, but it was certainly nice. Bristol has almost half a million people living there, and covers a lot of square miles. We mostly wandered around and saw the sights. There's a large, extremely well designed mall, although I didn't actually bother to enter any shops because of mask restrictions. There are plenty of interesting outdoor locations, such as parks, strange monuments, and the main river looked beautiful in the Summer sun. There were a lot of varied people, certainly a lot more ethnically diverse than where I live. I also went to a place called Avon Gorge, which is pretty big, and walked across the bridge that spans it, at a height of about three hundred feet. I must admit, it bothered me. The day was very good fun.

I don't get to go on proper adventures very often, sadly.

I've noticed a lot of Street Fighter prejudice on this board. Sure, they love their Tekken and DOA and Soul Calibur, but not Street Fighter. Why is that, do you think?

Either as a formal education course, maybe degree level, or from reading books and watching documentaries. I mean...it seems incredibly complex. Wtf. Economists come across as smarter than neurosurgeons and high level hard scientists.

I'm talking Street Fighter III: Third Strike. She has a great range of moves. You can grab onto the opponent, and knock them to the ground; you can do this excellent flip off their body; you can do a rising move which really knocks them back; you can hit them three times while spinning around. This, combined with his speed and strength, make her a really useful character...and fun, too. It's like playing with a strange version of Chun-Li. The speed and agility, you know? What do people think of Ibuki? Does she appear in later games? I've got a copy of Street Fighter IV, but can't remember if she's actually in it.

So many good times with this franchise.
