I've seen it 4 or 5 times, and liked it each time. Good action, plenty of good characters and dialogue, interesting religious themes. The casting is cool, too - Ron Pearlman, and that sketchy freak with the ginger hair. What's with the agro over The Devil's Tomb?

This was pretty much throughout the 2000s, although, I think, by the early 2010s it wasn't nearly as big as it had been. People used to take the whole affair really seriously. CE had a few different board hunters, myself included, and it was really good fun. Some people would spent a few hours, pretty much every day, looking for secret boards. I don't know how they kept full-time jobs, or did well in education. Some secret boards were more famous than others, of course, and sometimes would have dozens of topics. It was so weird.

Not so bad, now. But it's still a really sketchy film. I mean, REALLY sketchy. All those bizarre visions, the very idea behind the film about life and death. Why would someone make a film like this?

People on CE go on about this all the fucking time. Is he, though? I mean, I sometimes see his stupid mistakes, but everyone gets things wrong sometimes, forgets information, or has slips of the tongue.

I've been playing it since late 2006, about 13 and a half years, I have over 200 hours in it, I've been playing pretty hard...and I still have plenty left to do. Admittedly, I've often started new files from scratch, but even when I've picked a file and really tried to do everything, I still haven't succeeded. My best file, the one I've been playing on recently, when it comes to doing things at the highest difficulty setting, i.e. Sick, I've still only done just over a quarter of the challenges. THAT is how hard the game is.

I sometimes think about stuff like Blast Corps, and DKC: Tropical Freeze, and other such games (you know the kind of stuff I'm talking about), but I think even they pale in comparsion. Of course, that's the main reason I like Project 8 so much...precisely because it IS hard.

Thoughts on any of this?

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts was one of the worst 7th generation games I played. Dreadful. Even for what it was, it seemed bad. Gave up after less than 5 hours.

The term has been used for a few years, but certainly seems a lot more loosely defined than the alt-right. When you see someone marching with a Nazi flag, that's alt-right; when someone talks about sending non-white citizens out of the country, that's alt-right. But how would you define the alt-left?

For me, people like the folk pulling down racist statues are alt-left. I don't know the exact definition, though.

This is between those 2 types. It's called a 700 Teensie speedrun. The WR is, I think, just under 6 hours, and like I said, I'm at just over 8 hours.

...things didn't go so well, seemingly. Rayman: Legends. I was trying to beat my best time, which (I think) is about 8 hours and 10 minutes. At various points, though, I made a bunch of stupid mistakes. I mean, a LOT of needless mistakes. At the time, I thought I had added on maybe 20 minutes to my playthrough, which, as I'm sure any serious speedrunner will tell you, is a real problem. I was aiming to coming in at under 8 hours and 10 minutes, but I estimated it would be about 8 hours and 30 minutes. When I did finish, though, and checked my time...it was 8 hours and 7 minutes. I couldn't believe it. I must've made lots of small improvements at various points, without really realising it, which does happen to me quite a lot.

Really weird speedrun.

So, I was pleased. I probably set a new PB, although I don't really remember what my record was. And, of course, I did about 8 hours of gaming in a single day, which is usually a very good sign. Right, friends?

Strong 9 for me. I'm superb at various single-player modes across multiple genres, and often excellent at multi-player, too. You should see me. My strongest games include Goldeneye, Blast Corps, Call of Duty 2, NiGHTS, Banjo-Kazooie, and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

What was the name of that sandbox, Breath of the Wild style game? You floated down with an umbrella. It seemed fun, but people barely talked about it. I thought there was another interesting looking sandbox game as well, but I might be getting confused.

In some ways, the short (or very short speedruns) can be interesting, because they're so tightly focused; then again, the long speedruns are cool because you have to remember and do so much.
