Compared to modern games, it is very good. Some of the characters are very annoying, IMO.

Compared to classic RPGs it doesn't compare. I'd still take DQ III, IV, VIII, & IX ahead of it.

The price is for tutorials/classes. Most of the websites that do classes are having huge sales this year - udemy is doing the same.

I hear you. I'm actually thinking of going back to teaching, but I keep remembering things like this. The pay vs crap you have to put up with really isn't worth it. The only reason I'm considering going back is because it doesn't require traveling and I want my summers off.

I can't come up with 10. I suppose I could just list all of the games that released in that time period that I've played - and I'd only be a few games over my list. I thought about cheating and listing NES/SNES games that released on the NES/SNES mini since I've probably played those more than any other games that have released in that time period.

I haven't listed to a 'new' album since 2016 or so - and even then it was ONE new album. Most new stuff is trash. I actually listen to older and older stuff (currently mostly 50's & 60's stuff)

Time off is definitely a benefit that isn't taken into account by many who change jobs.

I make good money right now, but I'm in a business that doesn't allow for much time off. I've asked them to stop giving me raises and just give me more time off, but they won't do it.

I can vouch for the university / school schedule. When you teach they pay seems low because you are really only working 9 of the 12 months in a year. You can stretch your paycheck over the whole year or just not get paid in the summer. In the past, the benefits were really good as well (they aren't anymore). In addition, you usually get a boat load of sick days during the school year. As far as time off goes, you can't beat teaching as a career option.

Yep. DQ3 is still the best in the series, IMO. 9 is the next best.

Wasn't impressed at all. The some of the first season was ok. By the second season, I was skipping large sections of the show because I didn't care about any of the characters. I thought having Boba in the show was super lame.

I tried giving Star Wars another chance, but it sucks. There are only three Star Wars movies, and I'm ok with that.

The game is good, but long. Some of the characters are really annoying. The battle system is great, as always. 2D mode is the best way to play the game.

I'd rather have the sugar cookies.

Between the stripper pole and the phone sex line, I'd prefer my daughter to be on the phone.

Our baby is 9 months and it's been a mixed blessing to be sure. Not sure my wife and I could face having another, but we know it might be a bit easier in the longer term. It's gone for a few years, unfortunately. Before I had my kids, I worked a day job that was tolerable so I could have a side-hustle that was enjoyable. As soon as I had kids, I had no time for the side-hustle so I got a new, more interesting job. I've really become a work-o-holic now, but I found there wasn't time with the kiddos - only when you are away from them. All your at-home time is their time now.

On the bright side, my oldest kid is now really into minecraft dungeons and kirby all star allies - so it gets more enjoyable.

Meh. Having two close together means they can keep each other company (if they get along). Also, more than one means they wont' be left completely alone when you pass on (assuming your kids live longer than you).

There is a difference, IMO.

I have the Bose wireless headphones that allow you to plug it in. There is no latency, and much better clarity/volume when plugged in.

Wireless is convenient, but I always jack it in.

I dated a girl just after college who lived her life through TV. She talked about characters as if they were family members and there wasn't really anything below the surface. She had a fairly rough family life, and I'm sure it was an escapist / affordability thing but it was still weird.
