It sure isn't going to be known on election night.

With the sheer number of projected mail-in votes, it will be weeks before they have a winner. Prepare for the rhetoric to really ramp up over those weeks, because the news media will probably 'declare' a winner on election night just like they did for GWB in 2000 before the votes are in.

Both sides are prepping their excuses.

Disney went down the crapper in the late 90's when everything started going CGI and 3D. They had perfected the animated movie until everything started shifting to using computers. Then people with 30+ years experience who were masters of their art weren't worth much and they had to start buying other studios to stay relevant.

I dont think its about taming so much. The monsters all seem to be very rational people, and all it takes to get them to soften up is genuine love.

Jordan Peterson makes lots of bad faith takes, so of course hes gonna day that women just want to own and control men.

Fair enough, but it is just a video of one of his psychology lectures explaining exactly what your topic is. I'll paraphrase below:

Females don't seek out visual pornography, but literary pornography. A typical female literary plot involves an innocent female meeting a male monster. The five types of 'male monsters' that are most popular are:
  1. Vampire
  2. Werewolf
  3. Billionaire
  4. Pirate
  5. Surgeon
The end of the plot usually involves the female character having a romantic affair and 'taming' the male monster.

I say, "Jumping Jesus on a Pogo Stick. Everybody knows

For some reason, I had both the Batman special and the Don Knotts crossover back to back on a tape, cutting off Band Geeks before Squidward could even put his fliers everywhere.

But I remember enjoying them as a kid. Have no idea how they hold up, and I imagine the Don Knotts special did NOT hold up.

Its hard to fuck up Scooby x Batman unless you really try hard. Im sure thats still good.

All about marketing. As mentioned before - it is supposed to help prevent high prices. If it is listed for$299.99 and you see some a-hole charging $450, you know you are being ripped off.

The other reason is to make you feel like you are getting a deal. "Oh, it's $299.99 MSRP, but they are selling it for $279.99! What a deal!". Depending on the product, there may also be a floor - like unable to sell below 20% off MSRP or something to that effect. (This was common with many high end appliances when I worked in the appliance trade - not advertised to the public)

TopicCollege graduate. How do I meet new people?
kukukupo
08/07/20 8:58:19 PM

It isn't a good time to meet new people, unfortunately.

Typically, once you hit adulthood, you meet people in only a few ways:

  1. At work or through your job. Maybe you get to know salespeople or other colleagues at work. Maybe you are the delivery guy and you meet certain people - or you are the person the delivery guy talks to. For me personally, I had one or two guys I new at work and kept in touch with when I moved on to the next job.
  2. Church. Although young people don't go anymore - this was the big one 20 years ago. I'm not sure how prevalent it is today - especially with Covid - but it used to be a staple.
  3. Your kids - you don't have them yet, but when you do your kids will be the way you meet people. They will become friends with someone at school and you are forced to interact with them.
  4. Volunteer work is another big one like churches.
  5. They aren't around very much now - but conventions. Hobby stuff - like car shows, gun shows, electronics shows, gaming shows, comic shows, etc.
  6. Online gaming can be a place to meet someone . I met people from all around the world. I even met up with one in Denmark, Estonia, and Ireland when I was still traveling often.
Can't think of any others. It has to be hard at this particular time because everyone (who is smart) is staying in.

Link well if you are talking average american house hold lets break that down
15 dollars per adult x2
10 child ticket x2
Large drink 3.00 x2
Small drink 2.50 x2
Large popcorn 5.00 x2 (a adults share and kids share)
Snack generic (pretzel hotdog etc) 2.50 x2

Thats around 75.00 dollar. Dont forget the arcade and other items that are sold as well. 100.00 could very well be for a standard house hold of 4

Maybe average - I understand some of you live in expensive places - but tickets are only $4 here before 5PM, children under 12 are $2. Your drinks/popcorn seem ok.

$12 tickets + $10 popcorn + $6 for two large drinks and I'm seeing that movie for $28 in theater - so $30 is pretty close. Probably a 'steal' for people who don't have a nice theater like I do.

The thing that really kills me is not only do you have to have a Disney+ subscription, but the $30 unlocks Mulan as long as you keep your subscription up to date. If you miss a monthly payment or cancel and start your service again - you lose Mulan and have to purchase it again. Bad business IMO and Disney hasn't put out a quality movie in two decades, so I'm going to skip it. (Not getting Disney+ anyway)
