iirc Rainbow Road is the last course you unlock. You dont get anything special for beating it, but its the last level in spirit

same with f-zero and Fire Field.

I think you unlock the 150cc option once you beat it. So I suppose a true win in the game is beating all tracks at that level.

Thanks for the correction. A quick google search shows you are right, and found nothing about Edison doing it. His supporters seem to be the nutjobs that were killing animals during the current wars.

I've never tried this so I dunno how easy this is but getting Tornadoes early on is hella easy to get OP.

It's not the tornadoes that are had, I think it is the pulse ammo (?). You need to refine it from energy crystals, and the only way to get those on disc 1 is to refine it from a high level card with something stupid like a 6:1 ratio. So you need to win like 12 cards to turn into 2 crystals to turn into 12 ammo.

Just bunch of whiny fanboys who are mad Bioware didn't make a game with 3000 permutations to take into account every single choice combination a player made in the first two games. Yes, there are some missions that are the same (just replacing a dead character for a living one). So they either do it that way, lock you out of the mission entirely, or make a whole new mission to play instead. They also studied early game ideas and rumors as to what should have been canon in the game and got pissed off those ideas were never used.

Think of it like the Star Wars sequel trilogy. People had these grand ideas of who the characters should be based on years of novels and fan-fiction. Like whining that Luke would never go live by himself like a hermit, ignoring that Yoda and Obi-wan did the exact same thing.

Yes, there are legitimate complaints about the game. Once again, less RPG elements and more focus on combat. Much smaller squad selection. The From Ashes DLC feels like it was definitely cut from the game to sell separately. An edgy, tryhard villain with a sword that seems to come out of nowhere unless you read some comics or something.

I say, avoid reading anything too specific about why people hate it and play it for yourself to make up your mind. Then check out those opinions afterwards. And if you hate the ending, there is always the Citadel DLC you can do and end your trilogy playthrough on a giant houseparty with all your squadmates from the 3 games.

Did he do it by offering a better product or service that in turn increased his income? If yes, kudos to him for his success.

On the other hand, did he increase his income because he began slashing payroll, understaffing and overworking his employees, hiring foreign/illegal workers to pay under the table and pocketing the difference? Yeah, fuck that rich guy.

Bed of Chaos was a stupid gimmick. Four Kings is just a DPS race. Nito has that forced damage drop before the fight and the miracle that can hit you anywhere.

So yeah, there is a reason why I'm much more familiar with the boss fights before getting the lord vessel.

That was my 3rd I think. Funny enough I played in a guild with another GameFAQs mod, red13n, even though we didn't really know each other before or after FF11, just was more of a coincidence than anything.

Seems kind of low. A few years ago, my playtime was somewhere north of 550 hours, and never did the AFK bazaar thing. More than a year of my life playing FFXI. And all because I found the PS2 box set on clearance for $20 back in 2007.

You could say I was a little hooked, playing around 3 hours a day, every day, for a decade. And once we dropped dial-up, I wasn't limited to the wee hours of the morning. It took me breaking my wrist last year and not being able to play for about two months that finally had me kick the habit.

But I do miss it at times. I still want to renew for a month and make my own video of the ingame story cutscenes for my character.

I think taking a lot of the renegade options would result in fewer war assets. There were a few, like the major decision on Tchunka, that more or less evened out (either got Krogan or Salarian assets). But I do seem to recall more cases of paragon giving assets while renegade gave nothing.

That was like the only good part of Ultima 9, during the character creation part. Multiple choice questions to find which virtue you would embody more. Stuff like:

You catch a poor farmer poaching a deer on the kings land.
A. Turn him in for breaking the law (Honor)
B. Let him go to feed his family (Compassion)

or

Another knight claims credit for a foe you defeated.
A. Take credit for your own deeds (Honesty)
B. Remain quiet and allow him the accolades (Humility)

Have been watching year old LP's of it recently and it got me interested enough to pick it up for $15. Started playing it a few days ago, and it actually seems strange to have NPC's wandering around. Feels like I missed something since I guess, canonically, it takes place a year later from when it launched.

I feel bad because I can't remember which recent game had the option, but it was a godsend for streams. The developers put a option in the menu to disable copyrighted music during gameplay. To me, it shows that this company, at the least, has no problem with people streaming their game. In fact, it indirectly shows they support them by making it harder for demonetization/video removal on youtube to happen.

Grew up in the late 80's as a huge fan of Run DMC and Beastie Boys. But as it seemed to shift more towards the gangster rap style in the 90's, I found it just didn't suit my tastes very much anymore. Back then, I would have phrased it as rap sucks. Today, I would articulate it better by staying it just isn't my style. Doesn't mean I hate the genre as a whole. There are rap songs here and there that I might enjoy. But it isn't a style of music I go out of my way to discover.

It is, but controlling the narrative yourself vs watching it unfold for somebody else does leave a different impression. In What Remains of Edith Finch, I had seen it before playing it. And for me, being in control for the Gregory segment had a much stronger impact than when watching it.

Even more dramatic was in Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Digging your own brother's grave and moving his body yourself wouldn't have the same impact as just watching it happen. And the unique mechanic of each stick controlling a brother was unusual to say the least. Especially when it came time to cross a river at the end of the game. Younger brother can't swim. Older brother is dead. He just gets stuck at the edge of the water. Until it clicks that using the older brother's control stick gives him the courage to do it himself.

the destiny games really stressed me out especially since I played it with a guy I knew in real life who was an engineer who was obsessed with optimizing all things. He'd already be done with all his dailies by the time I logged on and it was just kinda insufferable.

That's why I never bothered doing endgame stuff in FFXI. At minimum, you were expected to use third party programs to gearswap for every little thing you did. These were people who would set it up to change gear while in the middle of casting a spell. One set for when they start casting, another for when it actually goes off. Are you wearing that armor with +5 str, +5 dex, and +10 attack? Well fuck off then. You should have the HQ version with +6 str, +6 dex and +12 attack.

One of the best changes they ever made to FFXI. If your levels got too far apart, any xp gained by the lower level guy dropped like a stone before they stopped getting any completely. Then they added level sync, where you could pick one guy in the party and anybody higher than him would get level capped to his level. So partying together with friends stopped being about which jobs were close enough in level to work and instead we all picked whatever we felt like. And thanks to adventuring buddies (and later in-game NPC's), nobody had to be a healer if they didn't want to. Computer AI had it covered.

Playing multiplayer games with IRL friends also suck. I dunno about yall but my IRL friends always troll or leave me. Played L4D2 with some IRL friends the other week and I was raging a shit storm towards how dumb they were. They were playing like they never played a FPS game before.

Sounds like you don't understand the best part about playing with friends. There is no leaderboards, no ranking to keep in mind, no permanent character progress to be made. It's about fucking around and having some laughs. Making up some weird way to play. Change a buddies control settings when he gets up to take a piss if you are in the same room.

According to my PSN profile, I first played in the beginning of 2017. Started with ME1 in February, followed by ME2&3, then Andromeda in November. Done 3 playthroughs of the trilogy since then, and Andromeda twice.

I had watched a few LP's of it sometime between ME3 and Andromeda. Finally decided to pick it up when I found the PS3 trilogy for $20.

Killed the rat in front of them.
Shipping them off to the house in the swamp that I didn't really built anything at.
Never going to that location for the next 50+ hours that I played.
