I think it was closer to an 8 but yeah the gameplay is too one note to be anything more than that. It's basically carried on the strength of its story and characters.

I ended up enjoying astros playroom way more I'm thinking it might end up somewhere in my top 10 this year

To answer the topic title though that main thing the PS4 did was have the most appealing and user friendly main menu screen of any console out there although it took a few years to get to that point

I don't know if bugsnax is the best example for loading times

The example I think of is whenever someone beats my time trial times in astros playroom it brings up a notification and I could hit the PS button and it will instantly take me straight to that time trial even if I'm playing something completely different

Miles Morales is also impressive when it comes to load times

with the boost arts got in CS4 and some exclusive accessories Rean gets if you max out Elliot and Emma's relationships he's pretty much the most broken character in the series using the high level bells setup (with Pandora/Magius + Titania MQs) and diabolos gem and ATS boosting quartz.

He just instantly casts any art with 1 delay and can buff himself even further with Saintly Force

Last time i had that happen to me they just replaced a metal strip that held the muffler up and it didn't take too long at all.

My 2nd PS5 Platinum in as many days!

Behind this games cheery exterior hides a dark story with mature themes. I won't say anything beyond that, but it's definitely worth checking out. The gameplay of catching bugsnax gets a little repetitive after a while and Bugsnax types start to repeat with different variations of the same ones, but the story and characters are top notch.

This platinum is a 100% playthrough catching all 100 Bugsnax and completely all main quests and side quests. Not crazy difficult, but there are some missables if you aren't careful. For a free game though I can't complain as I was gonna buy it anyway before it was announced to be part of PS+
