One of the lead writers left Capcom earlier this year so it probably won't be anytime soon if we do get it.

Are they actually calling him Herlock Sholmes to avoid the copyright issues that supposedly blocked DGS from coming west in the first place? Because if so, thats hilarious.

What makes the whole thing even sillier is the fact that Holmes himself is public domain along with most of the stories, but there are four for which adaptations are still under copyright in only the US that feature in the game. So its funny that something so small, in one territory has been this huge headache with a potentially hilarious resolution. Amazing.

I'm perfectly fine with waiting on AA7. AA6 is perfectly suited as a series finale anyways.

I think I'd be more interested in another standalone project made by Takumi than a Ghost Trick 2.

Yeah, I don't think you could top the original anyway, so I feel like it would just be a disappointment. Ghost Trick works as a standalone game.

The point would be that you couldn't officially play these games in English before this.

"Herlock Sholmes," is one of those bizarre localizations that end up fitting the world of Ace Attorney perfectly, like Hobo Phoenix binging on "grape juice."

I guess there's still more stuff surfacing, and in some Ace Attorney documents, there are multiple references to AA7. So it's apparently happening after all! I haven't seen the material for this, just people talking about it on the leak thread over on Resetera.

Also there's mention of Capcom being undecided about an AA4-6 collection.

Except it wasn't a localization. He drinks grape juice in the original Japanese, too.

Well, the games bombed in Japan, so my guess is that they don't believe they would sell well enough as a standalone package to justify localizing them.

And if that's the case, then I'll take another copy of AA1-3.

Missed opportunity to package them with 4-6. Everybody has the original trilogy. Its already been released on Switch and PS4. Chaining these games to an expensive collection package with games people likely already own on the system is a bad choice.

Maurice LeBlanc first used it in 1906, after Arthur Conan Doyle objected to his unauthorised crossover with Arsene Lupin.

I do hope we get rereleases for AA5 and AA6 on other consoles at some point, they don't deserve to be trapped on a dead console.

I think DD and SoJ were popular enough to merit a port at some point. It'd be nice if it were sooner than later. Maybe they're waiting for AA7 or something.

Well, AJ really is kind of a standalone thing compared to 1-3 and 5-6. Although even AJ has a port at this point!
