Also i remember a conversation i had with my dad and he mocked me for saying lingcod. Lol. I guess those are ocean fish. We have barbuts (i dunno how its spelt) which are fresh water lingcod basically.

That's amazing, i'd have a lot of fun trying to get steelhead and salmon especially. Me and the wife are in ongoing discussion and consideration about moving to North or NE Maine. Like we are really close to making a decision and might go next year. I want to be very close to water, and rekindle my fishing love. It's exciting to look into all the varieties that can be caught up there.

I feel like maine would be an awesome state to live in.

What kinda fish have you got down there?

have you ever gone noodling (if thats what its called and is even an option there)?

lotta variety.

Rainbow trout, brown and brook trout, perch, bass, steelhead, coho and kokanee salmon, carp, sturgeon, sun fish, weird small black cat fish of some kind, lingcod, whitefish and probly a bunch i dont know.

I havent caught all of those but ive caught fish i have no idea what the name of is.

Never trust a mofo. Our least/most loyal dog is a schipperke. They are notorious for being super loyal(he's my wife's shadow) but also an escape artist. They will get out and never come back because they are so enamored with the free world.

Dogs are so fucking great. I respect the hell out of their sheer joy in existing in the world. Theyre dumb and difficult sometimes but theyre so grateful to be alive.

I ended up taking my buds to the dog beach (after putting his harness on and using 7 twist ties to reinforce it) cause he likes it and its fenced off well enough where i can let him off leash and feel comfortable but it was a big mistake for different reasons.

We got within 100 feet and he wouldnt walk anymore. So i was like whatever and carried him in and when i set him down he lost it. Ive never seen him so scared outside. He hates owls, doesnt seem to care when we hear coyotes, and a beaver once scared the shit out of him but usually he just finds a bush or something or sticks
close.... this time all he did was try and climb my leg over and over. He was so scared i had to carry him almost all the way home. And hes still being a big suck.

I didnt hear or see anything but something bad musta been around.

Well shit. I did a giant hike with my dad today then came home and got drunk as fuck.

Now walter is biting the fuck out of my calves which is walter for take me for a walk bitch

but also he escaped his leash the other night when we were out and (2nd or third time) broke the plastic clasp on his harness.

So im like shit i wanna go swim cause canada and the weather is awesome at least through next week. Its a dwindling window for pleasant swimming. But also im not going without buds and even if he probly wont he definitely could slip it again easily.

If theres not a car or an owl hes good but shit. If he gets away imma hate myself.

I had to carry him half way home the other day and he didnt like the indignity of it. Im 97% sure hed just follow regardless but its the if that i cant stand. Id search till morning for buds but still what if he disappears

This isnt really related but i had a buddy who was a long time drinker and stoner who got engaged and as soon as they were engaged his girl just expected him to stop smoking weed and drink only on the rare occasion she did.

He changed nothing and she got more and more miserable and bitter for months till they broke it off.

It was just so strange. She didnt seemingly have a problem with it at all for years and then it was like you proposed and i accepted so now you will be the person i decide you should.

it was so weird. Like dude has been a stoner half his life and suddenly you dont want him to be. He was never a drinker till we started hanging out and 15 or so years later hes a genuine drunk and i kinda have guilt issues over that just cause he doesnt handle his liquor that well and also will drink before or at work and we were friends for a decade before he would really even drink more than 4 beers and even at that basically only drank with me.

I don't think I'd ever get on a motorbike. I almost definitely would crash it into a cactus cuz thats what I did first time riding this little motorized razor scooter with a seat thing that a kid i knew once had.

Fuck the first time over rode a dirtbike it was a cr 250 works bike that was way too much for me. I looped out super bad on a hill climb and had so many cuts and scrapes. I ragdolled a good 15 or 20 feet uphill. No cactus though.

i feel your pain.

I just want a honda grom for on road and light off road stuff.
