Pretty sure they need alot more evidence than a single line of dialogue to actually get a conviction. There actually needs to be further evidence to be able to get a conviction such as payment or preparation between conspirators that proves they are planning on going through with the act. Beyond a reasonable doubt is still a standard, and I'm pretty damn sure in modern day standards and legal precedent that has been built up that nobody can been convicted of on words alone.

The problem with incitement charges is that unless there's hard evidence to prove intention, it's not going to hold.

For all the "fire in a crowded theater" arguments, you just need to google "free speech fire" to get legal and historical precedent on the analogy.

However impeachment trials are not criminal trials and are not held to the standard of typical courts. Which is why the impeachment happened in the first place. The nature of an impeachment (having biased parties as jury) make the trial a theatre for signaling to their respective constituents.

He can still be charged criminally with no worries about double jeopardy because impeachment trial isn't him being charged with a crime, just stripping him of office powers. However if Trump were to be tried for incitement to be held liable in a criminal setting, he'd have legal precedent on his side and if he were convicted could appeal easily to his advantage (also SC stacked in his favor, so lol).

Let's be honest, the reason he had such a clean sweep the first time was because there wasn't exactly a sea of popular competitors. Nothing has changed there. Keep in mind that the guy who was the frontrunner before he came along was perhaps most famous for the "Please clap" meme.

His habits have been the same for decades. I don't anticipate that being an issue. The question is would he bother with it again.

And on the night of the election when my far-leftist cousin's wife was debating on fleeing the country so she "didn't have to explain that Trump got elected again" to her kids (who were only scared of Trump in the first place because she had been trash-talking him in the first place) removed countless family members from her friends list who she believed had supported Trump, and went on a screed about how she should have done it earlier like people suggested.

I'm not sure who's behind that mask (probably Clark) and while I don't have the mention system enabled, I don't feel like putting up with random alts trying to troll me so you're on the ignore list (which is where you'd probably been in the first place until I purged some names the other month... although it's equally likely you made that name as reference to another one of your banned accounts).

And for the record, I was the 10th no. The fact that it has any yeses when it was the SECOND completely unfounded, partisan-driven impeachment hearing from a party that wanted to impeach Trump before he took office speaks very ill of this board. The fact that the whole thing was a farce from the get-go is good reason why every senator who voted "yes" should be subject to a recall and the incident in general demonstrates why term limits are desperately needed in congress and the senate.

Considering they'd never intended to do that, it would be a very different event altogether. And had that been their intention, they probably would have been able to do it because they had numbers on their side and at least some of them were armed. Keep in mind what just *one* guy with a gun had done at a practice session for the Congressional Baseball Game despite having dozens of guards, including a security detail for the guy who had been shot.

Contrary to the rhetoric, it's unlikely that the disorganized mob would have tried to kill Romney or any other politician. Most of the rioters had no idea they'd even be entering the capitol building that day. There were a handful of people in that crowd who seemingly masterminded the break-in --- given that they were using radios to coordinate the break-in --- but even with those people it's not clear that they had intended to actually kill anybody.

You guys seem to be confusing democrats with leftists. Even the few listed that they do stand for are at best met with half measures that ultimately don't work. Like the $15 min wage, sure that's better than not raising it at all, but that should've been the wage like ten years ago

I think they're the same as any other rioters; they decided to break the law en masse on the assumption they'd get away with it because there were so many of them (probably because they saw how little had to been done to other rioters in recent years) and were carried away in the moment. And honestly, for Trump to pardon them would go against his position of being a law & order president.

Assange didn't do anything to "help" Trump, he acted in the public interest (but, as we've repeatedly learned, the public isn't interested -- if they were, would Biden be president? He was Obama's VP when Obama was attacking the American people at home and abroad. In fact, if America had an informed, engaged voting population, none of the previous ten or twenty presidents would have made it into office and a lunatic like Bernie Sanders wouldn't have even made it into the primaries).

Natural immunity seems to only be lasting for about 3 months in most people. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there are plans to give recently-recovered people a booster shot of some sort of extend that further, but for now, you are correct that there's little point in vaccinating somebody that has recently had it, and I expect such people will be among the lowest priority recipients for the vaccines that are rolling out now.
