You've got the Shenandoah National Park not too far away. Ocean City and the beaches aren't too far. NYC and Philly are possible day trips. Weather is decent. I live in the DC area, and there are plenty of reasons to not love it. The cost of living is fairly high, most places outside the city itself are generic soulless suburbs, traffic is some of the worst in the country, social stuff is weird because there are so many transplants, and the weather in summer is awful. --- Congrats to 2020 GotD Guru champ azuarc! |

Back when I lived in Ohio and Kentucky I would've preferred standard, but now I'm in Vegas and it gets darker an hour earlier than I'm used to due to being at the beginning of the time zone and that sucks more than potential morning commutes, I guess. That's not really a DST thing, though. Ohio and (eastern) Kentucky are about as far west as Eastern Time "should" go geographically, while Vegas is the on the far east of where Western Time "should" be.
