Really? I finally tried it today and as soon as I finished the tutorial, I had somebody join my world before I even touched the large crystal. I felt bad because I wanted to explore around, but at the same time, didn't want to bore the guy the death. Started shooting a dog, then realized it must have been his. Died a couple of times and left the session, then set it to offline.

Playing with random people seems like it could be a ton of fun, but for a first playthrough, I'd rather do it solo as I learn the world/system.

Most important thing to do in the game. Make sure to talk to the other recruit you get on Omega every chance you get. He has one of the best scenes in the trilogy, and there is a nice callback to it in ME3. Mordin singing Gilbert and Sullivan

If you tried hammer and didn't get it, check out the hunting horn. I love giant, blunt weapons and the horn moveset did it for me. the buffs are just a bonus.

I understand the want for mobility. I main Switch Axe and use dual blades as my back-up, especially if going after some of the faster monsters.

I never got that impression about Susan. The way it was worded in the final book is that she made a conscious decision to stop believing that Narnia was a real place. She "grew up" basically in her own mind, thinking herself beyond "childish ideas" like Narnia.

More the idea that she was locked out because she started showing an interest in nylons and lipstick.

It helps that they nailed Max: even though you're making the decisions, each and every permutation is justified *by* Max in her own voice and with her own reasoning. She also has genuinely good chemistry with Chloe, who kind of threads the needle between making you feel too sorry for her(she has lots of problems, but at least some of them are mostly or entirely her fault) and making her too hard-edge or mean(IMO. Opinions vary, of course) to empathize with. And some of the decisions were genuinely difficult.

Yeah, it was rough trying to balance things out with Chloe and the right thing to do. If I was younger, I could have easily seen myself siding with her time after time. But I had a hard time being a total ass to David because I could see where he was coming from. While some things he did may have seemed extreme, I understood it was never intentionally malicious.

And I had seen people play through the game before, so I knew the general theme. But making those choices myself did get me invested in the characters. Even knowing the major choices in the chapters, it was still tough to pick the "right" one.

I just started intermittent fasting. Hopefully not eating 16 hours every day will force off the pounds. It worked for my sister and her best friend, so fingers crossed!

Better off eating more meals, so you don't end up binging on the one meal you allow yourself. I ate one meal a day for years and it isn't like I lost a ton of weight. I also found that my bowels were much more unreliable and never knew when the urge would strike. Now that I actually eat more than once a day, I feel better, sleep better, and am much more regular.

Played through SotFS multiple times. Picked up and got the plat for the vanilla version a few weeks ago, and it felt strange. I will say that in general the rebalancing was well done. It is killing me that I know there was an area that felt superior in the original, but I can't recall what it was right now.

This is a terrible way that being poor is more expensive than being rich. Don't remember the exact example I've seen, but it is something like the rich guy can buy $100 boots that last him for several years, while the poor guy ends up buying $25 boots every couple of months.

Been about a year and a half since I've played XI, but it also suffers vertical progression from what I recall. Once you hit 99, it becomes all about gear levels. 105, 117, 119, maybe a few higher. You don't want 105 gear because it would make you effectively 14 levels lower if you were rocking 119 gear instead.

OTOH, if you don't care about the endgame grind, there is no need to do it and there is plenty of content to keep you busy. You can solo content that used to be for endgame LS. As a casual player, I got dynamis clears either solo or with 1-2 friends. Farmed land kings and got a black belt. Solo'd to floor 100 in Nyzul Isle. Made a relic from scratch, then leveled it up to i119.

Best thing I learned about myself. When I get drunk, my sense of taste is the first thing to go. Used to suffer those first few until I discovered the joy of rum and coke.

I think it is pretty safe to assume that her parents got her good lawyers and they were able to argue that she didn't understand what she did wrong.

Suzanne and Taystee were two of the characters I really liked and felt they deserved better. I was also surprised how I characters I was indifferent to or hated at the beginning got me invested and rooting for them by the end. Hated Pennsatucky at the beginning but it was great seeing her trying to become a better person and Blanca seemed like a bad joke in season one and really got to shine in the last season or two.

And fyi, DS9 (like most trek series) starts a little slow before it finds it's footing, but based on what you've said it's probably the series you'll like the most.

Funny, I really enjoyed DS9 right off the bat, but lost interest in maybe the 3rd? season. Once it started going off on all the war stuff, I lost interest. Would watch episodes if I saw it one, but didn't go out of my way to find it. Then when TNG ended and one of those cast members came over and everything seemed to revolve around them, I was done.

But I realize I am in the minority. I mean, I loved Enterprise, was indifferent to Voyager, wasn't a huge Data fan, and hated the over-reliance on the Borg for everything.

As for Star Wars, I'm pretty meh. Loved the original trilogy and had all the toys and read the original Timothy Zahn trilogy when it came out, but didn't really follow the expanded universe stuff after that. Prequels were Ok, sequels were a little below the prequels except the first one. Solo was trash, but I thought Rogue One is one of the best star wars movies in the franchise. Haven't seen the Mandalorian so no opinion there.

I got one initially to use an HDloader since I was always having trouble reading the blue-backed games. Claimed like 95% compatablity and of course those blue-backed games seemed to be the other bad 5%. (stupid konami games in general).

Wasn't a bad thing overall but I did fill up the hard drive before I got all my games transferred. Then I found FFXI for cheap and ended up plugging that into my PS2 for the next several years.

I have to say, I was thrilled that Soma added a "safe" mode. Monsters will attack you, but don't kill you. I was more interested in the setting and reading the files than playing hide and seek for five minutes before it wandered off.

Kind of worked too. They just became like an annoying younger brother when you were trying to read a book and they just kept making obnoxious noises.

I don't think there actually is an answer to that question. Superman just reinforced that he could continue on his own way, and would do so, and ultimately history would have to be the decider on what's "better".

Yeah, it was pretty obvious that the general public seemed kind of horrified at the idea of Superman just killing his enemies. They were cheering on the Elite, but when it appeared that Superman started doing the same, you could see them thinking "this isn't right".

You should really check out Superman vs the Elite. This is a key point running through the movie. Is it better to kill the villain if they keep escaping and causing other deaths. Are Superman's ideals outdated?

The entire ending sequence/fight of Portal 2 is probably one of my favorite moments in all of my gaming history. The voice acting, the presentation, the way it all unfolds and what happens... gives me major chills. You're in for a major treat.

Dark Souls ruined me. I got so used to aiming high and to the left to account for an arc, that I miss in games that make it fly like a bullet.
