I think I'm missing something here with Shiva. After she transitions into phase 3 my dps against her tanks for a little while (maybe like 5 seconds?) even if I clear her rage, but I'm not seeing anything in the AI to explain it. If Papa and Terra were capping there instead of doing like 7k a hit I'd have the clear, but with it I can't beat the chain timer. I thought maybe it was the DEF/RES/MND buff, but the AI thread says that's 25 seconds.

I think Apocalypse was the most recent set when I started playing (though I guess it could have been the tail end of Planeshift?) and I absolutely loved it.

Tried a few more times and got her just under 10%... really not sure how I'm gonna squeeze out that extra damage. I have Terra and Papa's syncs, but nothing else for Papa and only an AOSB and BSB for Terra for dps. In principle it seems like the thing to do would be to get her down to just a bit over 70% before using the syncs, but I just can't do much of anything without them (using a chain and just abilities/Terra's LB glint I can only do about 10% of her health before the first chain runs out).

I thought Shiva was pretty easy, even on release, but now, with Terra Sync+AASB and especially Papa Sync+AASB, it felt almost unfair. What a slaughter.

Tried her and got her down to 22%... Unfortunately Gogo VI is pretty useless here for me.

I was thinking of maybe trying phys-weak Leviathan, but apparently Xezat's AASB doesn't give infusion and the USB I have for him infuses ice. Only one of Cater's two AASBs infuses too.

Titan reclear was way easier than the first time... got him down to 47 seconds despite screwing up several times and probably wasting way too much time building gauge

I haven't really had an issue with my glasses fogging since I started wearing surgical masks with the metal piece to fit to your nose. Not sure about how to deal with it with cloth masks; I could never prevent fogging consistently with those.

Yeah at 70 some of the dps checks might be tough for some classes (e.g. Titan to avoid getting repeatedly tombed) and Ramuh really hurts, but they're all super easy at 80. I think you might even be able to do some of them at 60 with like PLD?

(well, you can still die to Leviathan at 80 by being knocked off)

Good. They never should have ended the original guidance given that we have no system in place for verifying vaccination status, and it seems that they were wrong about it incentivizing more people to get vaccinated. With cases rising again (and the vaccines somewhat less effective against delta) reinstituting it's the right call (though yes, I imagine compliance is going to be lower than had they never ended the original guidance in the first place).

If you really don't like the responsibility of tanking you could try just dpsing; there are very few normal difficulty dungeons where a single dps failing will singlehandedly wipe the group, especially early in the game.

It's cards where you can play the creature first or play the instant/sorcery and then play the creature at a later time. There are some other "going on adventures matter" mechanics in that set too.

Im actually having kind of a hard time imagining doing these without awakenings/syncs; the time limit to do the last 30% feels pretty tight even now (though I guess it would be easier if I started my cap breaks/chains a bit later) and theres a lot of rage to break.

Yeah, I do. I probably should just give it a try with that mixed team even without the imperils (I don't really have anyone else for earth besides Rydia/Tifa with just dyads... though Rydia's dyad did wreck King Behemoth!).

Decided to have Edge replace Mog instead of a dps since hed need to take DMT anyway and Cater also has a full make AASB. Solo healing was very rough; had to restart a ton of times to have all of the healing timings work out, and I barely won here (chain had just run out with Odin at 3% and I killed him with a Ramuh summon).

Ive been trying lightning-weak Odin and he seems impossible with my current setup (Lightning/Xezat/Cater/Deuce/Mog or Tyro). First I brought Mog and esunad the petrify with his AASB2 chase, but apparently petrify strips buffs for an extra fuck you. So I lensed Tyros USB1 and then found out that Odins next attack after the petrify basically demands last stand, and if I put that up with Deuce ahead of time I wont have the gauge to heal up before he does another huge attack the next turn.

From what I understand Edge has an SSB and USB I could lens that gives both last stand and blink (presumably letting me get through this bullshit opener), but all I have for him is his other USB so he would probably be pretty useless for DPS (and Id have to give him Mogs DMT, too). Is there any other way to get through this part? It not, is it better to give up Xezats critfix or Caters imperils?

I got 5% armor for Wedge and Vaan and the 8% accessory for Wedge. Still looking for the others!

Speaking of which, Wedges weapon gives an equal amount of ATK/MAG and he naturally gets a bit more MAG than ATK. For using him on a physical team would I just have to suck up him being in MAG mode until buffs went up unless I wanted to use a worse weapon? Actually my current buffs are all symmetric in ATK/MAG since I use a RW chain; I guess I would be forced to bring the +ATK bard song?
