There were some other mechanics that you technically dont skip but that just dont matter at 130 that I wasnt aware of (like I knew the skeletons do raid damage when they reach bone dragon, but I never realized that theyre slower if they die apart from each other). I also didnt know that you were supposed to discharge towers on king behemoth (and apparently no one in Asmons group did either!)

I did try XIV DK just to see what it was like and got him a bit below 60% on my one attempt (though a lot of my potential damage was being eaten by his wall and he killed Mog early).

Yeah the only one of the pixel remasters Im potentially interested in is III since Ive heard a lot of people say that the NES version was better than the DS version (which I didnt like very much).

Yeah wipes in DQ cost you half your gold. Many of them have a bank where you can store excess gold you don't want to lose, but I usually just save often and restart if I die

Doesnt Origins II still have the mechanic where stats you dont use get weaker? That would drive me insane

The bonus content added in the GBA versions of I and II (especially I) were quite fun in any case, so Id go with that (not sure whether or not any of the subsequent ports also have those dungeons).

Finished the 400 lab and finally got Wedge's weapon. I picked up Rem's HA beforehand, and she's now breaking cap under her sync against the enemies there (the same can not be said of the rest of my C team!)

My only offensive WHM is Rem, and she does not appear to be as monstrous as advertised...!

I dont have her HA which would obviously help, but even accounting even accounting for that she doesnt seem especially strong. Not sure what else Im doing wrong besides not having a chain!

Ah yeah I have Meltdown, Voltech, and Valigarmanda on my lab teams, but Ultima would probably be a good idea too.

Right now my teams are XIV, Core, and Type-0, with T0 being pretty weak offensively.

Im finally taking another stab at the 350 Lab (currently on floor 10). this is really rubbing in how much it sucks that I dont have native chains on any of my main teams!

(I could make a decent fire team with a chain, but elemental teams seem kinda risky in Lab since you can get thrown into a blind battle with something thats immune to or absorbs the element; my only semi-viable realm team I have a chain for is V).

Oh god, just went into a battle with my C team without switching over equipment
Thank god I had just gotten 0 fatigue or that probably would have been a wipe

Hrm too bad XIII is apparently one of the tougher DBs. I have three characters with syncs (Lightning, Serah, and Snow), but only Snow would have much to do after the sync ran out and I would have to lens everything for Vanille.

At least I can probably get the tails from the D450...!

Decently concerned; I'm going to continue working from home/not doing indoor stuff/wearing a mask to the store etc for the immediate future (probably would have done otherwise if cases had continued to fall). It looks like Pfizer/Moderna are probably around 80something% effective against delta infection vs 95% for the original strain, and even if I'm still well protected against hospitalization/death I would really like to not get sick and/or infect other people.

Also if delta has an R_0 of around 6 and (current) vaccines are only ~85% effective against it you need basically everybody vaccinated for herd immunity which is... clearly not happening, so that's really not great.

Definitely worth doing for the story. Normally what you would do nowadays is either wait until level 80 and solo it unsynced (or maybe for a few of them duo), or make a PF advertise the first time bonus to get some people to run you through it (make sure to say you'll be watching the cutscenes).

It's possible that Asmon's stream might cause a temporary burst of interest in running them synced, so it might be worth trying to do that soon if you'd like to experience the actual mechanics.

Ive done T5 and T9 synced on BLU and Id say they were comparable to the harder extremes. Not sure if BLU is net easier or harder (more dps of course, but tanking and healing is weird).

Got Lahabrea to phase 3 twice by giving up on Mog and bringing Deuce. First time I think I screwed up my second chain timing and was too slow on dispelling his second proshellhaste, and the second time sap killed me through last stand.

Hopefully I can get this one in under the wire...

Got Seymours sync and G+ from the X realm draw. I already have his AASB (and a USB I guess), so thats convenient!

Kinda seems unclear to me that the sync is better to use first though since summons have so few hones so the AASBs infinite usage is relatively more valuable.

Speaking of summoner syncs, I got Alphinauds healing one recently. Hes one of my best dps so it seems kinda wasted, but I guess the cap break will work for damage too, right?
