But The research station would have had regular people on it.... there's no way they are jumping 10~15 ft in the air to get a coffee, yaknow? Now, in SOME of the rooms there are what appear to be ladders under some of the bricks, they could be construed as a staircase that is going into the background perhaps (although a ladder is more likely)... but not in all the rooms, and CERTAINLY not the command centre. This excludes the substations 1~6 since they were designed to be for the local wildlife and not for common traversal --- "Salt cures Everything!"
