Caution is many things and I think it is wrong of you to accuse other people of racism when they are not bigoted. You should demand something more specific from him--something that you would expect a reasonable person on the political right to do.

TBH I the only related thing I think Caution knows about me is that I don't tolerate anything I consider bullying of someone disfavored, especially when it's borne from laziness--i.e., prejudice. Even if it's someone I don't like. He is, however, to the right of me.

I flipped on Tails over the Reddit post. Not 180 degrees, because I can't do that, but a definite 120--from guarded ally to enemy with some ambivalence. And not one moment before: that Reddit post was what I consider a blood libel, and that is not something I say lightly--I mean that in the original, literal definition of the term.

It would have made a great difference in my eyes if Tails had renounced, or at publicly modified, what he posted on Reddit. (As it was I thought it was important to give him fair warning of my intentions.) But to get Tails there you have to pull teeth, and that would not have been the correct focus. Like it or not, understand it or not (sometimes conscience wins initiative), you have to do what you have to do

Error said that tails was a bad person. He confirmed that from his personal experience Tails is a transphobe and a homophobe (or something like that) and I did note it. Thats still a "he said, she said" thing. I didn't see the moderation in question, and I have nothing to do with whatever conversation led to that banning.

However, I said it was noted, and I meant it. I do indeed look at Shadow & Tails under a different microscope now. One in which I'm now familat with their alleged history of being racist and homophobic.

Doesn't mean I'm going to go ban them from the communities because I believe error. It just means that its been noted. I'll be on the lookout.

However, this ties back into my initial reason for coming into this topic in the first place. The Crypto Board is not some MAGA hangout. Homophobia, Transphobia, Racisms...its not tolerated whatsoever.

he has been pulling a number of tricks those kind of people advice each other to attempt to win online arguments, including:

• bOtH SiDeS
• Play dumb and pretend they do not understand and act confused, and when the other party provides the additional context and/or explanation, pretend it did not happen and then play dumb again
• claim ignorance about a specific event or story, and when the other party explains, you guessed it, pretend it didn't happen and claim ignorance again.
• recurring to semantics to make certain statements sound less offensive ("he didn't say he believes in white replacement theory, he merely said that demographics were changing and that was bad for whites, which I agree")
• Claim that if they didn't see something with their own eyes, it didn't happen (the Vick thing)

Just like I thought, it becomes nothing but hearsay from both sides. But what he basically told me was that he observed people on GameFaqs make remarks that could be associated w/ pedophilia. He outed one member in particular.

He then made a comparison that to himself that said he gets modded for every little thing because people hate him and can interpret everything he posts in a negative mod-worthy light...whereas obvious pedophiles don't get modded at all. If he calls people out on their pedo comments, he gets modded for attacking them, while the initial offensive comments go unmodded.

He said he never mentioned anything at all about LGBT. That the topic itself was about Russia laughing at US Military Recruiting Ads or something. That the dude on reddit that called him out for LGBT=Pedo made it up. Completely out of thin air. Rather than acknowledging the comparison, he invited said user to return to GameFaqs and debate him on his pedo comments...

...and those comments had nothing to do with LGBT people, but about other GameFaqs users making pedo comments, and him getting moderated for calling it out.

Its hearsay from both sides. So since I can't see that context, and I had nothing to do with the initial interaction, what else can I do but brush it off.

I can however say as clearly as possible, that I personally do NOT believe that the LGBT community are comparable to pedophiles. That someone who did make that assertion as a way of insulting the LGBT community and those whom support them would face harsh consequences, and would likely be banned from my communities.
