try actually looking and reading for yourself. you're trusting the radio and news stories....the news has barely been covering any of this anymore. Eh, it's inconsistent, but I have learned to expect this from literally every type of message board, especially one owned by a big company. This applies to social media as well. I find it a little naive that people think they'll get 'total open freedom!!!!' from a site hosted by a private company. You also have a lot more 'do whatever' capability with Discord/other messaging apps, so there are alternatives. There are also plenty of completely unfettered horrible alternatives.

I will take risks on PotD because ultimately, I don't really care. I still 'get it' probably 75% of the time I'm moderated. If I'm warned, it's a good break and probably worth the joke. I can still tell jokes like that in the real world.

There are a lot of specific 'types' of prescription medications that people have allergies to, not necessarily specific ones. Penicillinsand Sulfas being prominent. Information like the initial example makes sense for people with those allergies.

Yeah the trains definitely had its flaws. The worst part IMO is it can be extremely annoying to navigate around those enemy trains and if you hit any of them it's instantly game over.

But then again, I also really like the Temple of the Ocean King in Phantom Hourglass.

I also liked the Temple of the Ocean King! The trains eventually drove me a bit crazy - I lost to the boss once, and I just was like...eh, whatever. I regret not beating it since I've beaten every other mainline Zelda game besides Zelda II.

I had just graduated highschool, and I was definitely active from around 2008-2011. It might not have been 'the same' as it is now, but I still remember a lot of politically oriented arguments. I only distinctly remember heated discussions (characterized as arguing or trolling by others) with Whiskey a lot. I guess my memory isn't entirely reliable, but I've always enjoyed social commentary, and recall it from then. I'm probably biased.

I do remember a lot more consistency in 'regular' topics like 'rate this movie, rate this game' etc, but there was also so much more activity back then. A lot more user gossip back then too since there were so many more regulars. Remember topics like, "Is the above user a PotD N00b, reg, or l33t?" or something along those lines? I guess the gamer culture was stronger, but I'd say it's still quite strong.
