| sutree 01/25/22 9:55:38 PM #20 | Ok so I reinstalled it. Modding in the old radio stations and downloading some fixes was easy, only took 10-20 minutes. I limited the FPS to 60 because I was getting super high FPS in some areas and I think it was affecting some things. Game runs mostly okay and is playable, but my FPS dips to around 45 in some areas. I am getting some graphical glitches but nothing too bad. The game sure has a slow start. I'm currently doing missions for Vlad and Little Jacob. I remember how incredible the physics seemed when it came out, and all the little details like how other cars' paint will rub off onto your car. The physics are still great, and some things are better than GTA V. Car crashes have a much better feeling of impact and feel more realistic in this one. Way too much "drive here and get into a firefight." V was better in that regard, but in most other aspects I preferred IV. It is a "level-up" simulator which throws three types of experience/currency at you in hopes that its multiple upgrade systems will distract you from the soullessness of the gameplay. It is a Batman combat clone that is so easy and brainless you forget why you are playing it instead of playing absolutely anything else. It is the Platonic ideal of generic videogame writing, in which you watch cutscene after cutscene of overly-serious heroes babble in emotionless voices about events that you do not care about.
